Anybody have experienced this fault before?
The multifunction display shows 'Antipollution Fault'
The engine and service light also comes out but the engine still running.
I guess it is something wrong with the lambda sensor.
How much is the lambda sensor cost hah?
3 years ago I bought it for my 146. It cost RM400+

Huarrrrgh

Bro Lingo,

The problem lies with carbon build up in your valves and usually only a top overhaul will cure it. A very common problem with C5's apparently or so my mechanic informs me. Read an article in French Car Forum or Aussie Frogs somethime ago that one C5 owner tried de-carbonizing the engine and the fault went off. Researched further on this and found out that Autochild (Workshop) actually does a pretty good job on de-carbonizing that is.

You may want to give them a call to get more details.

Regards.

usually there was three(3) things related to that problem
1-air pump malfunction
2-lambda sensor no input
3-engine carbonized

for 1&2 need to replace the parts
for 3 have to do top overhaul

this kind of problem always happened to citroen model
if always travel short distance, just 70K mileage it will appear anti pollution fault
if always long distance,it can take about more that mileage, maybe 140K>

u can try:
drive long distance
sometimes battery already expired can make this sign appear

for lambda sensor maybe about RM1.8K each in Brooklands

C5 usually got prob with:
engine anti pollution
gear problem egagement or fault
ABS brake component

Hi C2U,
Thanks for the infor.
The anti pollution oredi gone by itself. I just kept the car in a garage for a week and ride a Ninja to work.
Hopefully nothing happen during Hari Raya balik kampung.

U mentioned the lambda sensor is RM1.8k each. How many LambdaS did this car have?
Normally one car have only one sensor.

price 1.8k was in brooklands
got 2 sensor
sometime this anti pollution also cause due to battery(as my experience)
because usually c5 use free maintenance battery that last 2 1/2 to 3 years only
now days many alternative to send your vehicle to other workshop rather than brooklands
