Hi all,

Due to past few days it has been raining very heavily in Penang, got to use the wiper almost everyday. I found out that the movement of left wiper (with much longer blade) is not smooth and with some "screeching" sound sometimes. I observe the movement itself is not smooth as well. I tried to dismantle it and install back according to manual, but still the same. I found out that it might be due to the left blade is too long and the support is not enough therefore causing some uneven force applied to the blade when wiping. Hope you guys get what i mean.

Do you guys have any solution to this? thanks.

No problem with mine as well even though i use rain X.

That also does depends on what you use to clean your windscreen ... did u apply rain x? Did you clean your wiper rubbers?

Read in some forum (think in autoworld as well) that after applying rain-x, the rubber may screech. So they advice not to use rain-x

yeah i already stop applying rain-x, anyway just applied a little bit one time only, dont think will affect that much.

btw, went to Penang SC and chk, mechanic feedback that "it's like that" sad.gif, sad to hear this. He claim that this is due to when they "polished" the windscreen initially for new car, the "shampoo" is too "powerful" thus causing the friction and screeching sound. hope it will get better later on.

this is the only problem i have now. they manage to solve other minor issue such as engine wobble during start up and also some "ngek" sound from passenger seat.

Use car wax and wax your windscreen. it will give the screen a coat with water beads and the screeching will go as well...
Its not what you have...... its how you use it!!

Meguiars UQD works better than rain x ... no screeching and no need to clean haze after applying .. just wipe on wipe off.
