Just took my lion to genting yesterday night...as long as RPM is >2.2k..the power is quite responsive during the climb...
during the descend...notice something...gear didnt change itself even at about 3.2k rpm...is that a safety feature to help maintain speed? Usually gear changes b4 that...

going to make another trip...but during the day...it was too dark at night and tough to judge the road condition ahead...

went up to genting on saturday night, seriously this car is very powerful, it's really a breeze going up hill, manage to overtake all the cars and catch up with a GTI all the way, din't realize that the gear dont change when going down hill tho, will observe that next trip.

however there's one minor problem when going thru the 2 very sharp corner slope near the top, when turning thru both sharp corners in slower speed, realize the engine is like "almost stall" and need a 1-2 s to rev up again.

anybody else experience this? thx

haven't got chance to go up any mountain yet. Will try to test it soon.
For the stall, could it be turbo lag? Did you step on the accelerator gradually or tekan habis?

Think I know which sharp corner you're talking about..I sticked to the outer lane..down shift once...forgot M1 or M2...kept the RPM above 2.5k...so the momentum is still there...it was still abit hard to pick up but not the worst la...

btw...anyone tried ulu yam?

Looking forward for it. Any suggestion where to go? Maybe a Saturday/Sunday trip.

I would suggest a Sunday morning day trip thing...
Few places would be fun...

1) Kuala Kelawang - don't go if you get car sick easily
2) Genting Highlands
3) Water Falls
4) Melaka - to visit Alex Wong and those from JB can come up to Melaka too....
5) what else????

Alex, lets do a poll.... I think Melaka would be good if the JB people are willing to come up....

personally, I'd prefer 16 or 23 August... as I am not in town now...
