Bummer! I lost my key yesterday ... and have to go to SC to order a new one .... smile_dead.gif
Guess what .. RM808 to fly one from France ...
RM35 to disable to old key from the ECU system .. took them 30minutes just for the programming of ECU ....
smile_cry.gif

Bright side is .. probably Alan is right .. the system is not easily bypass else wouldn't take them 30 minutes to do it.
And don't ever lose your key!!! The nissan programming only need 10 seconds ...

What happen if somebody found your lost key? can he start the engine?

I'm lost my key on my bestari before. Cost me Rm500 for key and remote and proggramming.. They use the same number on my card. I ask the sc manager he said once the new key reproggramming..old key are useless..But mechanic said use same number old key still can use,he gave me an example of spare key. Where old spare key still use old proggrame hence the car still can start.. Dont know which one is true... He insist me to change the number as well, but i dont want as it cost me rm500 more for new security number..

It takes 3 weeks for key to arrive

SC manager said bestari cant run with two transmitter(remote) . It must have one transmitter and 2 sets of key. You can have one more transmitter but only for spare. Cannot proggrame to have two transmitter at one time. Dont know if its true or not

But my 407 have both key with remote. So should be no problem for 308 i think...

I am informed that the 308 can use up to 5 keys... 2 remote and 3 spares....
I would believe that if they used back your same number, its possible that whoever found your lost key, can start your car.
Its not what you have...... its how you use it!!

Thanks for the info Allan
Yes,thats what i'm thinking also if using same number, but i feel a bit secure because that time, when the key lost i live in PD for 3 months. Now i'm in Kuantan.. so whoever found the key dont know where is the car... How about for 308 owner who lost their key? Did they change to new number or same number? Because i get info that now peugeot keep the number...

mankarat,
Some earlier ones that got the car like myself and AHWAN got the credit card like security number. The new ones, didn't get it..
Don't know why...
It is always good to have another key.... considering to import in myself... if it works, then can bring in more to help our 308 friends...
Its not what you have...... its how you use it!!

They did not ask me for any card. Just that I have to bring my IC plus the car grant to make new ones ...

Don't wait for chances, create them!
