Errmmmm.. I think that the 308 pugs sold in Malaysia doesn't have an alarm built-in. It only has an immobiliser.

Same here. Notify by SM as well, there is no built in siren or horn honk when ppl break in.

Don't wait for chances, create them!

Whetstone, our cars, same as the new Audis, Mercs and BMWs, has the best state of the art immobilizer. If you happen to lock your keys in the car... you really need to get your spare...
No one can start your car without the keys.... not even the people in Peugeot.
There are only 2 ways that people can steal your car.

1) Tow it away... but its useless as the parts cannot be fitted into another PUG without recaliberating the ECU back in Peugeot.
2) Hijack you with your car... this happens to most BMWs and Mercedes nowadays... so be careful when going back home and opening your gate or whenever you get in and out of your car.

Just a note: So far, there is no demand to steal Peugeots as compared to the Mercs and BMWs. I would suggest that you keep a baseball bat between your seat and door for your safety. You'll never know when you need to use it for SELF DEFENSE.
Its not what you have...... its how you use it!!

Jules308, the Hondas and toyotas and all the Japanese & Korean brands have their immobilizer added on, which can be bypassed easily. For the PUG, AUDI, BMW & MERCS, its embedded in the ECU of the car... so cannot bypass... there is a difference between the high end immobilizers and the add on systems... So, the PUGS are much much safer. My previous posts stands on how its going to be stolen.

Bummer! I lost my key yesterday ... and have to go to SC to order a new one .... smile_dead.gif
Guess what .. RM808 to fly one from France ...
RM35 to disable to old key from the ECU system .. took them 30minutes just for the programming of ECU ....
smile_cry.gif

Bright side is .. probably Alan is right .. the system is not easily bypass else wouldn't take them 30 minutes to do it.
And don't ever lose your key!!! The nissan programming only need 10 seconds ...

Does anyone knows how to clone another key? I might be able to get the key for about RM500 or less...
