My car was recently broken into. Some cash and stuff was stolen. Items stolen were all out of sight. At first I thought the thiefs were only after the items in the car, but upon making a police report I was shocked to learn that the police concluded they were actually after the car.

Items stolen were out of sight and the thief got in by tampering with the driver side key hole. The thiefs left the car locked and I did not even know someone had broke into the car. It was only after I could not find some items that I checked and found the key hole tampered.

I just want to know what you guys think so that I can take further action? Were the thiefs after the car or just the items in it? Thanks.

nowadays, there is no 100% gurantee ur car cannot be stollen....where u park the car and what is ur car model? Probably there was some "distraction" that caused the thieves to flee w/out it

i was told the new camry alarm can be disengaged by drilling a hole at back boot (somewhere above the no. plate)! These morons sure com from the same alarm company

Changing all locks would only burn a hole in pocket and encourage the thief to continue stealing things from my car since he already knows how to get in. I modified the lock so that it atleast won't be so common. Used to be mechanical lock now its electrical.

The car was parked at a pasar malam area, the incident happened at about 1730 in broad daylight in a crowded area.

My car is a wira.

darreltian,

I dont think you want to mention how to break into a car, you really don't know who is reading.
