Hi everyone, I have trade in my 97 Ulysse for this New Ulysse on last Christmas. Every things is fine except the engine has this problem. When the car was approach the junction or before the traffic light, and the brake was apply to slow the vehicle, the engine will automatic cut off and no power for the power steering. However when I push the gear to neutral (N) and start the engine, it will start again and like nothing happen before. This symptom will happen may be once or twice a week. This made it very difficult to ratify the problem. I have visited Torino service center twice and every time they just refresh the computer data in the ECU and the problem keep coming back. I would like to find out other Ulysse II owner whether they have this problem and need suggestions. Thank

Congrats on your purchase! Did you trade-in for the new Ulysee II from Torino? How much did you get it (Ulysee II) for?

I used to have similar problem from the old Citroen Evasion and it was sorted out by Mr. Wong from Bengkel Sri Emas, Batu Caves Tel: 03-61874572/012-5013737

Cheers.

Hi Gurjit. I got my Ulysse from the Dealer who used to be in Jalan Klang Lama and now he has moved to Sunway. I approached Torino before and they did not have the interest to take back the old Ulysse. Since this dealer offer me 20k for trade in this 11yrs old car and I have the deal with him. This New Ulysse is the 05 year stock and sell at the discount price of RM 140k (They may have some stock now). Since this Ulysse II have 2 years and 50k km warranty. I have to leave the problem with Torino. The main problem is that they claim is the computer data problem and I would like to know whether there is other clues beside this and inform the service center so that they solve the problems. By the way, thank for your information. If the problem still cannot sort out, then I have visit Mr. Wong.

Hi everyone. I had my Ulysse II serviced at Torino Service Center last month and they reloaded the computer data for the third time. Since then, the engine stall sympton had never happened again. I think they had eventually solve the problem. Hopefully this won't happen again.

I used to own the Ulysse Nuovo and had that stalling problem but not frequent. Same thing, Torino do a flash or install a new programme. Did not own it now, but it might just happen again. Just take note la.

Try to get the gearbox change too, as it has a known gearbox problem, use the French one, I think is the AL4 gearbox oil.

It is a very good MPV. HOpe you enjoy it.

Most of the people whom I have talked too who have owned the Ulysse Nouva have bad experiences to share. Although the drive is great, but with many problems especially the gearbox ones have dampened the spirit of owning one. Torino is disposing the old stocks at RM108K now.

Hi Tsunami.

You are right, my Ulysse II did stalled again 3 times after June 26. But 2 time was the car was in low fuel condition. Just wonder whether this has anything to do with the low fuel condition. May be next time should have refuel before the warning sign come up. You have mentioned to change the gear box oil and one of the service adviser has advised that the Ulysse II should change the gear box oil for every 10,000 km in order to keep the gear box in good working condition. I did not know whether to his advise or not.
