macdude,

Wow...it really looks like a showroom car now! blink.gif blink.gif smile_thumbup.gif smile_thumbup.gif

I'm just curious...can 'physically challenged' cars, i.e. the ones with lots of micro-scratches and swirls, also normally be detailed to shine like a star like this Pochi? smile_tongue.gif In other words, 'starting condition/point' is different, but will the end result be the same smile_question.gif Or will it be at the expense of a thicker clear coat layer to do so? rolleyes.gif

u willing to pay and ur paintwork is still good. Sifu macdude can do it for u smile_tongue.gif but first must COMPOUND first la...(sorry if i am wrong ah sifu ) smile_blush.gif

mcdude, how I just wish (with envy) that I have the opportunity or time to experience detailing one of those. What more can I say that haven't been said before....over and over again... smile_thumbup.gif smile_thumbup.gif

If the paint is still healthy, i.e. no cracking, no cc failure, etc, and if the thickness of the cc allowed, in the right detailer's hand, it *could* come out better than the day it left the factory.

Note: Just remember detailing is a rejuvenation of the existing paintwork. Deep scratches, dents, stone chips, etc. is another different field.

*hehehehe* No la... Any detailing work is fantastic when you put your heart and effort to it right? Look at what you've done on the Accord! smile_wink.gif I think it's fun to share photos and it's great that Autoworld has added that much-awaited feature. Nicely done Jamie!

Here's a Porsche Cayman S that I recently detailed in a cool shade of brown called Macadamia Metallic. My shots are typically under direct sunlight so that any flaws and imperfections can be spotted before the vehicle is handed to the client. I also make it a strict policy not to enhance the photos with Photoshop so that it maintains it's authenticity...

Enjoy!

nice detailing job on the cayman.. i believe i've come across other detailing work you've done on your flickr in the past..

@Whoopee: It really depends on the paintwork but as a rule of thumb, a skilled detailer will be able to achieve a high enough gloss from as minimal an amount of clear-coat expense as possible. It's about preservation at the end of the day. But in some cases, heavy corrective work is required.

@Glee: Thanks for checking up on the gallery. I try to post up photos whenever I have some time to shoot between cars which is getting harder and harder these days because of the busy schedule. Like this week for instance. I haven't had the time to reach for my camera at all *hehehe* So I missed out on taking some shots of some pretty cool cars.

@Krismas: Thanks mate!

@vr2turbo: Sorry taukeh. Next time I'll include you in the picture smile_tongue.gif

Here's a Ferrari F430 Spider F1 that was previously detailed...

Enjoy!

Both can be found in SG. Price i think clay is about Rm80-100, FK2180 also around same price.
