well after making my rounds to so many workshops, i found most workshops that do Citroen is not up to the standard. are we citroen drivers are so cheap skates that the workshop thinks that the amount to invest and to service cannot make a good return ?

found most workshop problems.

1. No proper place to sit not to mention air-con waiting room but if job good o.k. but worst also crappy work !
2. No ramp at all to do hydraulics adjustment...have to borrow neighbouring tyre shops ramp. Borrow few more
times since not perfect, tyre shop owner face also black than mechanic just say "ai-ya it's like that 1-lah, o.k.".
How to do citroen like that, the hydraulics suspension need this essential tool what !
3. Unjustify charges, willing to pay customer but still get lousy quality.
4. Ask for a few things to be checked sure got some how miss some items.
5. Never test the car properly and hand it back to the customer.
6. Boss only lepak around, let worker do, and hardly checks.

So far I have 0 satisfying Citroen workshop, but my other 2 other Conti makes which I have virtually 0 complaint for some workshops. The best thing the amount of workshops I round for my two other make is 1/3 lesser than Citroen.

Any comments from other Citroen drivers ?

Since you find 0 satisfying Citroen workshops, you should really say that all Citroen Workshops are not up to standard.

First , tell us which model of Citroen you own. Also tell us where have you been for your repairs. Perhaps your prefered location of service (ie which town you live in) would be helpful too. That would help us a lot in advising you.

For me, I actually prefer NOT to be waiting in an aircond room while my Citroens are being worked on. I rather be close (safe distance) to my car and discuss issues with my mechanic. My present mechanic in JB gives me a detail run down of any issue my car faces and what possible steps can be taken to rectify it. I pay a little extra (perhaps 10% more at the most) for the mechanics expertise but I know the problem will be solved once and for all. In the long run I save. I have seen him struggle with cars that have been to other NON Citroen mechanics with all sorts of mods done to them.

My mechanic is the BOSS himself so he does not lepak at all. His workshop is well equipped to handle even my rare XM. So please be mindful in criticizing some of our mechanics who are honest and out there to keep our cars going. I have 3 Citroens and they cover over 70,000kms a year in total.

FYI, I just purchased a new Fiat, in just 2 weeks I have had to visit their JB outlet for my first service and a claim on a leaky fuel pump. Their service level has been faultless as they have a couple of middle aged mechanics who have been with Fiat for donkey years and simply know that it is their service that will help sell Fiat.

Try getting this sort of service from a Proton, Perodua or even Toyota.

Give us more info and we can let 'THE LIGHT SHINE ON YOU". Best Regards

Yes I will after my retirement maybe.

Don't know about JB ask the KV guys.

Yes try to wait 1 hour or 2 for your spareparts without proper place to rest and sit. I also stand next to my car when they fix, and what are you going to do when waiting for parts ?

I have tried all the BEST recommended so called Citroen Workshops in this forum/MCN from one end of KV to the other end.

No wonder they say a car is still a car except it is a Citroen ! I don't drive Asian cars so I have no comments on Asian car workshops.

Anyway this is for opinion purposes, no need to get so jumpy my friend.

Try brooklands, got plenty of waiting space, aircon, nice sofa, drinks n ah mois to gawk at. No need to try 'so many workshops' for the perfect one. Every workshop got its weaknesses, better don't drive Citlong.

Haha i think i know who frenchc is talking about..Dude...check out Harapan as the boss will always make sure u are satisfied..Ive been sending my cars there..No complaints..Bengkel Sri Emas is great like kdm pointed out..

I understand what u are saying as i myself cant be bothered waiting for hours for parts to arrive..one hour becomes two hours and two hours becomes three..

True we can never get a perfect one but we can get one that is trying to do their best..As for air cond room maybe a bit difficult la haha
There is no easy way out if you want to keep your Citroen in perfect shape. Preventice maintenance is the way to go

Thanks guys! ... I now know where to take my car in Klang Valley if ever I need to.

In JB ...I recommend Straits Alignment near Kit Mart Taman Perling. If more than 1 hour wait for parts , can walk to Kit Market and browse around. Eating shops are near by.

Usually parts are already ordered and delivered to mechanic shop before my car arrives (provided it has been diagnosed earlier).

Some parts have to wait for weeks (England mari), like my XM spheres.

I usually ask my mechanic how long the service/repair takes.. if more than 2 hours ... I either take a cab home or have my wife pick me up at the workshop. This is a required task expected of wives. smile_wink.gif

heh heh i have tried one of the workshops mentioned above. Not up to my expectation also, plus also got a lot of complaints. Anyway, nobody is perfect, but if workshops can do some improvement on my comments, it will be great.

Actually, depends very much on your expectations. At the end of the day, we want to make sure that we go back home from the workshop with a smiling face.

Unfortunately, that is not the case, most of the times. I own a Xantia since 1994 and E240 for the last five years. And besides spending more on my Xantia, I hardly smile after each service/repairs.

Cheers!!
