I`ve got Vkool in my car. My brother using don`t know what cool, paid $450. On a hot day with both our cars parked in the hot sun, there was virtually no difference. I felt cabin temp was the same in both the cars. I`m not sure it`s worth paying almost 4 time more for Vkool.
I`m not saying one should go for the cheap, cheap brands. I think the $400-$500 ones do the job just as well. Vkcool is riding on brand name.
I hope u are getting a genuine V-Kool coz I've sat in my frens car that has V-Kool. There is much difference when comparing to those cheap cheap tint. FYI- there are many fake V-kool in the market, i know this coz my fren is operating a car accessory workshop. Suggest u do it from authorised dealer and u can always go back for warranty claim if the product is not satisfactory...

A naive question:
Is V-Kool the best tint in town? Are there any other brands out there which are as good as V-Kool (technically) but not on the same price league (cheaper) as V-Kool?
I think not all things need to be expensive to be considered good... Take for example, my Falken Ziex 912 tyres are NOT that expensive, but they are good too... So anyone who can advise me on the tinting?
Thanks and regards...

satriaguy....
with that kind of budget you can get a fairly good tinting film for you car....... check out with your friend wha had tinted their cars ...sit in it and feel it..... ask fro the price they pay for it...... then you can decide which one you prefer... lucky for you u have that kind of budget........... i had also tinted my car but at a cheaper cost. had used the same brand in my rusa van since 2000 and is still intact........ i feel comfortable with it and doesnt burnt a hole in my pocket installing it.........

I would agree.
Just get something within your budget that you feel comfortable with....

Suncool, RM350 for 4 pcs door window and rear windshield....works fine... if want abit darker to block the sun light, spend another RM80 to add one more layer of darker colour tint and attach it on top of it...
