richard,
i bought it from PH Auto, u should know where is it, right?
Delkor brand from Korea, maintenance free, been told almost as good as AC Delco, dunno how true is it. have u heard or tried with this Delkor b4?
Thank you Andrew for the inform...funny... every time i go there sure the boss will quoted me the MF battery beyond the price you mentioned...some more is on Din 66 only.
Yes, heard about Delkor brand but not sure it is equivalent to AC delco..anyway now i'm on GP MF battery ( also claim made in korea ) that cost me almost same as your Din 72..so next replacement i know where and what to buy..Thank you again.

richard,
welcome !
the price is cheaper should be due to the reduction of lead price. the battery i bought is new stock which came in only 1 or 2 days.

Hi guys,
i've spoken to someone at SM, he told me that based on their latest training, our battery is DIN75 and not a MF type. Can open and add battery water if necessary.
So far, this type of battery went down twice, without any warning. what a break! The original will cost RM551 (recent price from SM), luckily found news here that cheaper alternative at PH Auto.
later going to buy at PH Auto, and while reading, if found this information at swedespeed forum.
"There are some precautions and procedures.
When the ignition has been switched off, wait at least 1 minute before cutting the power to the vehicle. This is so that there is sufficient time for information to be stored in the control modules.
Warning! The SRS (supplemental restraint system) is active for a certain time after the power is cut. Therefore wait 3 minutes before starting work.
Remove battery.
Reconnecting Battery:
Note before connecting the battery lead:
Warning! The key must be in position 2. No one must be in the vehicle when the battery is connected. This is a safety precaution in case an airbag module activates when the power is connected.
Central locking
Initialize the central locking and the courtesy lighting by unlocking the vehicle using the remote control
Engine
When the battery has been disconnected, the car may have to be driven for a few minutes before the engine runs normally. - according to VADIS"

My battery went flat, coincidently when I done 40,000km everytime. This will be my 3rd battery at 120,000km.
My car is still at FA for the major maintenance. They told me the battery is RM551 but I expect some discount from them, hopefully.

My Volvo is not the S40, (it's an XC90 T6) but it still has the original battery and the car was 4 years old last November
