Hi, need advice. Any comment if I change my Wira SE rim to new Saga rim? Is it not too light? Thanks

Different PCD. It won't fit.

However, it will only do good than harm to have lighter wheels. Nothing is too light for wheels.

Yup, Different PCD. Wira's are 100, and Saga are 114.3
If you need light weight rims, you have to check out aftermarket rims, as OEM rims are normally the heavy weights....
Look out for the offset also....

rdgs,

mind asking what is PCD? Can u guys suggest what type/brand of rims is suitable and best for wira SE?
my bugdet is < RM1500. The reasons why I wanted to change rims is to reduce the fuel consumption. Besides, smaller rims cost less expensive tyres also. Thanks!

PCD = Pitch Centre Diameter, it's the diameter of a circle which passes through all the bolts' centre-point.

Hope this can help you understand more....

You can go for 195/55/R15 or 195/50/R15 tyres with 15" rims instead of your ori 205/45/R16. You might feel a bit lighter but could be only little advantage on FC.

I would suggest tuning the step and TPS, service throttle body, tappet adjustment, lower viscosity engine oil, service a/c compressor and etc might be able to do more good on FC

If use Saga rims, then down to 14" only.
Better take YSW advice on 15", but won't look as good as your 16" rims/tyres....

If you need lighter, can go to 5w-30.
Why don't you post to "Petrol, Oil & Additive" Thread for more answer....
