the rattling is not due to blower, but confirmed on the vent outlet
itself. It's quite loose and there's some play to it, so when on uneven
road it starts to rattle.

A few solutions was suggested but so far none work. But one method confirm
will work that it is to close the vent but then no air can come out, hehe.

Anyway, just wanna say after close to 3 years and 80k++ kms of driving my
swift, so far its problem free. Just maintain and drive.... definitely the
most reliable and problem free car I've driven so far.

As your is CBU, I`m sure no problem. It`s good to hear after 3years no problems. I just got my CKD 3weeks ago. The car drives very well, no rattle or any unwanted sound. The drivers seat belt seems to jam somethimes, can`t pull out. Seat belt am sure is local product. Will get it fixed on my 1st service next week. Everything else is working well. Very good and solid feel and road holding.

One question for CKD owners. Is the tray under the front passenger seat not given for CKD models. The agent said not available for CKDs. But the tray tracks are there!

Hi,

My '05 CBU unit doesn't come with the passenger seat tray too. But it's not important to me. smile.gif

But my ride is on 17" rims, 205/45/17 tyres, the avg fuel consumption is only 10.5km/l (80% city;20% highway). Sucks, right?

I`m surprised you don`t have it! I was really pissed off not having the tray. Like to keep maps and some important stuff there, while other junk can go in the pegion hole. Since the tracks are there, I am planning to buy a tray.
I did not realise large rims would affect FC that much. Presently my city driving with stock rims appears to be 10km/L. I`m sure it should improve after the 3rd service. Will be going for the 1st service end of the month.

my '06 Swift(CBU) is now close to 100k km mark. I'm happy to report that it's a car worth buying. Been problem free with minimal maintenance for the past 3 years.

So far it's gone thru a set of tyre change(Michelin PP2), a set of brake pad and 1 battery. Other than that it's just been engine and g/box oil change, oil filter, spark plug and air filter.

Sad now that this year I might depart with my Swift... for a replacement Golf Gti.
Often wrong, never in doubt...
