Your comment is correct. The CBU Sonata NF model brought into Msia was built 2005 and registered 2006 here. This should be the oldest and first models around before local assembly under KB started 07. Market price is around the lowish range of RM50k plus and highish range of RM40k plus.

For info, I just checked with supplier for cost to replace the ECU chip for Sonata EF 2004.

The supplier I asked quoted me 1k plus to replace the chip and stated that the chip cannot be repaired.

Supplier say cost of chip will not exceed RM2k....and requested that the defective chip be removed and provided for them to match a replacement ECU....
