Bro, since we are driving the same model (mine is 06 model), I've encounter the "ABS, TCS & VSC" light on, sometimes, even at the starting point (belum jalan light dah ON), could it be the same problem you had, ABS problem?

Please shed some light here.

Thanks

The ABS light will come on when the function comes on like when the car loses grip in the wet etc... However, when you start the car and it lights on and continues to light on when you move from start, then it means that the function is faulty or not functioning properly.... Read the manual and it will tell you the same thing... The light is not supposed to come on as it only comes on when the function is being activated...

When it is faulty, it doesn't mean you can't drive, it's just that you may not have ABS, TSC or VSC when on the move and that can be dangerous... Just go to the Toyota Service Centre and when they plug in their diagnostic tool, they will straight away know whether there is indeed a problem...

Heard the Peugeot 508 and Kia Optima are launching 2nd half of 2011....can wait for them mah....

Peugeot 508 will probably be near the RM200k mark... They will position it above the current Camry/Accord/Teana crowd as it is a pretty large car...

wait to be surprised by Nasim... they do have strategies, unlike the T & H... Just to harvest whatever they can by the name of "good resale value"...

are you sure? looking at their strategy on how they priced the 308, 407, 3008 and the latest 5008, I think Naza will either match Camry/Accord or slightly below it. 200k is reserved for their RCZ.

If they priced 200k for the 508, well, good luck with their sales.

Or perhaps just the current D-segment price... But I think the 508 is positioned by Peugeot in Europe as straddling between the top specs Mondeo/Passat/C5 crowd and the entry level 5-series/A6/E-class/Jag XF crowd... Or maybe I'm mistaken...

Isn't the Mondeo the same class as Camry?

I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

Yes Toyota's nowadays are not bomb-proofed already although still very reliable... I used to drive a Toyota Altis from 2002 to 2007 and had an ABS problem just after 2 years/50,000 km... RM6k to change at UMW... Recently a fren who has a 4-year old Camry (present generation pre-facelift) with about 85k+ on the clock, also had ABS problem... RM13k to change at UMW...

Bro,
Does the ABS sensor covered under the three year warranty period ? Cheers.

I think all Japanese car are all pretty much the same in reliability. No?

Yes, the Mondoe is the same class as the Camry crowd but I think the 508 is being positioned slightly above... But let's see...
