only problem ive got is when rversing uphill... jerk alot and sumtimes the gear somehow like disengage the car just roll forward instead of keep reversing..
1st question I wanna ask is why the heck do u reverse uphill
The DSG gearbox is principally a manual, unlike a torque converter automatic or CVT. Therefore, it will behave like a manual gearbox. Just like a regular autobox though, even when in D, the car will roll backwards depending on the incline angle. For your case, it will move forward since u are doing uphill reverse (!)..

That happens when u press on the brakes and when u releases the brake, the Hill Assist comes to play. Need some practice to perfect the timing between the accelerator and Hill Assist release.
if hill assist on lagi worse... i switch it off everytime reverse up to my garage.. trafic switch on

Hi guys,
I bought my Golf TSI 1.4 in Dec 2010, done 17k by now and just went for my 1st service. Three days ago when I was driving the car, i can feel my car shaking and the engine check light blinking. The problem went worsen as i accelerated, the gearbox is having engaging issues, car shake and engine check light blinking. Sent my car to the SC and service advisor tested the car and ask me the leave there overnite for checking. Collected my car the next day, SC said they updated to latest software and problem solved. Drive the car for one day, the problem came back today, I am going to service centre again tomorrow...WTF!!
Any Tsi owners experienced this issue before??? Please help. Thanks in advance.
Did you manage to fix the problem at last? My car judder on second gear if i reaccelerate during low speed.. My engine check light is not blinking like yours but it sometimes does few like the gear is not engaging propoerly. I won't have the this issue if i put it on sport mode. Please do advise though i am not sure whether we are having the same problem.
Thanks
