dear fellow Focuses,
i am testing TDCi later today. aside fr the performance, i heard the engine uses a dual timing chain. is this correct? i have always been careful with this because it costs a bomb to change the belt. the chain is almost maintenance free and lasts longer. also, i believe the three most common items to keep the car going are to change a. oil filter b. fuel filter c. air filter
aside from the wear/tear items like brake pads, tyres etc.
if so, has any TDCi owners purchase the three items fr Ford parts suppliers? i think there is one along Jln Loke Yew in KL but dont know if they stock the Focus parts. this way, you can service your car anywhere and not return to the SC. but the engine bay looks congested like the Pug 308. no space for your hand to go in!! btw, i am sure the TDCi shares some common components with other Fords like the oil and fuel filters. any comments? thanks!
