hi all.. am just a newcomer for mazda car.. been following the forum quite long but only registering today to ask some feedback from the sifus here..


booked my M6 2.5 today and am very anxious waiting for my new ride...but what is a bit weird .. the sales guy mentioned that the car is available.. and he straight away pointing to me the car that i tested drive in the showroom.. at first i was curious, but he convinced me that not many people tested drive and this is normal..

just to double confirm his statement..is this a normal procedure by mazda dealer? please share your thought. many thanks and cheers.

To my knowledge, the dealer can offer you test drive car or showroom car which they should offer some discount respectively. I went to Mazda Puchong recently and was offered the showroom car with some discount. It is much better than the one used for test drive. But should you pay in full, it will be best to demand a unit from stockyard

Apparently Mazda6 2.5L comes with cash rebate & FOC touch screen so chech with them what is the offer on test drive unit.

btw, i have just gotten my car yesterday. thank you all for the reply.

if it is not too much to ask here.. i would like to know how is the touchscreen HU should behave when we first switched on the unit. I remembered last time when i test drove the car.. there is a mazda logo when switched i it on .. but now no more.. all i can see caska.. i know caska is the oem for mazda.

i hope i am getting the right unit or at least not the tempered one.

looking to get an M6.
wonder with the new 2010 M6 facelift, is the 2.0 a better buy?
dont really need power, so dont think i need 2.5
but doing research online, seems like the bulk of M6 buyers choose 2.5

Bro...very simple...the more the better. In terms of power. Have you really tried both 2.0 n 2.5 with full load.

On spec wise, 2.5 wins hands down. Coz that d flagship of that model. A lot of features not available at 2.0 found at 2.5.

u go n try T&H 2.4 cc car compare with M6.

Coz 2.5 litre car, any car manufacturer provide on japanese car? Camry n Accord only 2.4cc.

Furthermore their 2.4cc car do not hv d accessories that M6 gave. Push start plus a few more item.

No offense Gunner, I find most journalists and even car company itself often mistakenly stated wrong figure on specs for output, torque, acceleration, FC reading, kerb weight, turning circle and few more important reading measurement in their articles. When comes to numbers it is serious matter as it could provide wrong information to carbuyers that would affect their decision directly. For example, if a taxpayer stated wrong income details in his income tax statement, he could end up paying less and subject to fine if he paid up the remaining late.

I need to borrow your article comment, no offense. I find some of the information are what people often pick to criticize the Mazda 6.

... Mazda quotes 169hp @ 6,000rpm and 226Nm @ 4,000rpm ...

... Mazda 6 output 172ps/6000rpm ...

Mazda 6 output 172ps/6000rpm VS Mazda quotes 169hp @ 6,000rpm
Don't forget that 1ps is not equal to 1hp.
