I went to Esso after using Shell for many years before. Spark plugs last longer and feel slightly smother.

i only like their vpower ron 98 (before the intro of ron 97 v power).
their ron 97 vpower can't beat petronas primax ron 97 in term of acceleration and engine noise.

my cousins stopped using shell after their engines became more noisy. they switch back to petronas and engines getting silent back.
the yellow-red is only good in marketing but the quality of the petrol bit in doubts.

as to date, i still stick to petronas ron97, i can't deny the petrol suits my car engine. bhp ron97 still can't beat petronas ron 97 for my engine. esso/mobil/caltex i hv never tried before. so no idea.

Wow.... old post but I am new here so been reading since Page 1 till this post and I decided to reply..

I think this is really the reason why I find Shell in Melaka (my hometown) is not as good as in Klang Valley. Not sure if this is the factor but I have tried 2-3 stations in Melaka and the performance is dissapointing. Engine is more noisy and not smooth, slight lesser power. When in Klang Valley, it is really superb!!!

Old stale petrol, How is the station business the ones you went to?

All petrol brands have Ron 95 and Ron 97. Just that some stations don't sell the Ron 97, just like most stations in Shah Alam.... smile_shock.gif
