The new Sonic which replaces the Aveo looks good. Great in sedan form (I'm not a hatchback fan though) and will surely give the current B-segment in Malaysia a run for their money. With a 1.4 turbo and 1.8 NA engine, it doesn't look weak either. When would it come here and at what price.

Nice car that deserves to do well.

I do like the muscular shape and the big wheels.. looks more purposeful than the current model and if it really comes with the forced fed engine and 'fun to drive' setting, I would like to have one of these in my garage..

Car looks like a dwarf with lots of muscle, front reminds me of S40 (current) but sedan looks acceptable by Chevy std.

Nice copy of Mitsubishi Lancer's design. If own design bad, it is sometimes better to copy design that is acceptable by many. Safer this way but must make it better than the car it copies. Like the new Subaru that copied some design of Cruze + Volt but they came up with something even better with added own design.
Aveo Lancer and Captiva Lancer will surely sell better as they are fitted with advanced engine with dual VVT for petrol and commonrail with VGT turbo for the diesel. Hope they'll launch this year. Can't wait to try them

i asked the SA about the availability and they said no idea. they did say there were other models coming in though. to be fair, this sonic was only just announced internationally so i doubt the local guys (in the showrooms anyway) know anything about it. but it will be great when it comes. just hope chevy can pair the turbo with a 6 speed auto. currently the turbo is paired exclusively to the 6 speed manual.

Wait for news on Sonic CKD in Thailand. Once it has started, the SA will surely say coming soon. They might have sports hatch version with turbo. They are new in the market, sure get at least 5-speed auto for lowest specs.
