try this: http://www.autoworld...ols/roadtax.asp
(cant comment if the diesel one is accurate, but petrol is accurate)

or read here:

Thanks ! It shows that both Gasoline & Diesel share the same road tax ! Great !
Once Malaysia diesel quality is getting much better next year 2011, Hyundai Santa Fe can be considered.

I have been wanting a ride with the following specs :

* 7-seater SUV 4WD Diesel with >320 mN of torque at relatively small displacement engine,
and road tax not punishing enough.....

Seems like Hyundai Santa Fe meets all specs above.....

Extract from National Automotive Policy (announce on 28 Oct 2009)

V. Clear Roadmap for the Implementation of Fuel Standards

Since September 2009, EURO 2M specification for petrol and diesel has been implemented. The Government has now set a clear target of implementing EURO 4M specification for petrol and diesel by 2011. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will establish a roadmap for fuel standards and quality.

BUT will this Euro 4 diesel standard be implemented in 2011? My guess is a BIG NO. Typical of Malaysian government.

the bio-diesel B5 (blend of 95% regular petroleum-based diesel and 5% palm oil-based bio-diesel) should be on target to be launched mid 2011; as for the euro4, unless miracle happens, still a long way to go.
