I heard sorento maybe will be launching after KL auto show on coming december and 1 st batch will deliver next year to get 2011 year of manftr and also year of reg

actually 2.4 patrol also not so bad in term of fuel consumption coz they are using latest theta ll engine with six speed trany, but it will be very attractive if they can brinng in 2.2R type turbo diesel engine.hope

Hyundai has announced the specs of the facelift Santa Fe, the 2.2L R diesel engine is coming!!

So no reason why the Sorento doesn't come with the same engine. The Santa Fe is very well equipped, will the Sorento be the same??

By experience, the Sorento should be at least 10-15K cheaper than Hyundai, it is worth waiting, I can't wait to have a test drive and if everything is good, will put my money down for one for sure!

Honestly Santa Fe facelifted version really a good and high specs and complete accessories from Hyundai, if not for the old look (even though it's the facelift), i would have go for it.. , the car have nearly everything in place for this facelift, except , the Face is really not my type..

I believe even the new sorento, it may not have that complete specs and accessories as per this santa fe, if we refer to singapore specs, however it's has the look...

I ask those SA in Naza HQ, one of the girl said, they are not sure, most probably end of year open for booking and car comes in in jan. I ask about the price, she said, maybe around or below RM150k, coz last time the old sorento also 138k saja..., so hopefully she get it right.

Also, not sure if Sorento is a 4WD as Santa Fe is. But, if the price of Sorento is below RM150K and RWD, that's fine too...

RM130k++ to RM150k+++...extra cost due to increase in seats from 5 to 7?...anyway, they shud bring the 2.2 r series diesel considering that Hyundai Sime is bringing the santa fe wt the same engine...430NM of torque, thats serious pulling power...more than the bigger 2.5 liter Navara (mother trucker....meet the Daddy of SUV..those wt the 2.2 r-series ler)

Spoke to a salesman in Naza PJ on Sunday, he said the training for Sorento will be on this week. Dun know whether is true or not. The last I ask they said it will be launched in August!!

But with Santa Fe coming, they will have to launch very soon to capture the market since the market for this kind of vehicle is not very big.

Just hope that they will have full spec version, don't mind paying a bit more for it. Just think about the 200hp/440Nm makes me drool......

Not so good news to share. Just got an SMS from a SA, the Sorento only available in 1 version. Petrol 2.4l. Price between RM150K-160K (heard from another SA its possibly RM 158,888). So, if you want the 2.2l Diesel, you have to go for Santa Fe already lo... But bear in mind, the new Santa Fe will probably be launched in Beg. 2012 as announced in the Hyundai US during their sales training. So, by Mid 2011, should have some spy shots already kwa. Happy searching lo...
