Both me and bro Razopower bought the same type, same brand, everything same same Engine Oil but his is from spare part shops and mine from petrol station. Bro Teerex has been warning against from buying from spare part shops to avoid recycle oils. So, both of us tried proving his worry.

Photo taken when left over of both engine oils first poured out. Can feel the one from spare part shops are thinner and has slight residue.

Photo taken after about 5 minutes exposed. Color turn lighter and seems ligther viscosity too.

Photo taken after about 10 mins exposed. Seems disoxidized as if some sort of chemical/cleanser being added proven to be recycle oil.

Engine running on my Rexton is much smoother and quieter after changing new engine oil but on Bro RazoPower's Rexton seems more noiser than before changing. Beside this, the recycle oil smell bad, like used burnt oil while the original smell nice.

Bro Teerex concern is proven to be right and we MUST NEVER buy any lubricants from spare part shops even though it is slightly cheaper, in our case it is RM10 cheaper. Don't be penny wise but pound foolish. Don't ended up having to overhaul your engine.

Hahahah.......For RM 20 savings it will cost more now sad.gif

With this experience now, I would say all rextonian will be careful in their purchase of lubricating oil.....hahaha.

I wonder if FUCH has engine oil in their product line ? Especially FUCH ATF is very commendable and recommendable. Nice and smooth after changing.

Have you change your engine oil? Better not to save such money and damage your engine, especially when you traveling outstation frequently.

Right, FUCH 3353 is really smoother than the ATF 134 used by my service center. FUCH has diesel engine oil meeting CJ4/CI4+ as well but not sure if can be found locally or not, check out http://www.fuchs.com...ries.asp?cID=10 . Can't find its 5 litre pack, only 20 litre drum.

TITAN ULTRA MC SAE 15W-40

• Ultra high performance lubricant.
• Advanced soot handling characteristics that are designed to provide unsurpassed protection for all highly stressed components in modern diesel engines.
• Prevents any excessive increase in viscosity due to high temperature oil oxidation.
• Proven bore polish protection.
• Superior performance over CI-4 and CI-4 Plus rated lubricant.
• Longer drain intervals.
• Compatible with all gaskets and seals.
• Better maintenance of lubricating oil film for reduced wear and increased engine durability.
• Designed for the latest technology engines, incorporating EGR, SCR or DPF Technology.
• Assists in the reduction of exhaust emissions for a cleaner environment.

Meanwhile I suggested to Bro Teerex to check out Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W40 as recommended by Mercedes. Check out http://www.mobil.com..._1300_Super.asp . I only manage to find Mobil Delvac 1340 Monograde here.

Wow bro r3xt0n, thanks for the research, this FUCHs diesel oil looks pretty impressive on paper, i must check with bro Rx 270xdi whether he got jalan for this oil or not. I would love to try it out especially after we have used the ATF Fuchs oil which is pretty good too.

I have been checking with the supplier, They quoted me Titan Cargo MC, and Titan Synplus which is SAE 10W40, I will double confirm with the Sales Manager for further information.
The Higher grade of Diesel Engine oil is API CJ-4.

Pls don't get the Mobil Delvec, we all already experience before, because the SC is using that engine oil, more noise then others engine oil, Knocking sound, very disappointed with it, Teerex, Orex, Lim and me do have the same complain when using that engine oil.

API CJ-4 has lower TBN but better for DPF and EGR as compared to CI-4/CI-4+. I did not posted the info on Titan Cargo MC because I see it as fully syn. Here are the info that seems not as specific for commonrail diesel turbo charged engine with DPF and EGR.

TITAN CARGO MC SAE 10W-40
• Fully synthetic, ultra high performance lubricant.
• Designed to gain extra fuel economy in highly stressed, high rated diesel engines.
• Developed for all seasons.
• Euro 3 and 4 diesel engine compliant
• Developed to improve the performance and efficiency of modern logistic and transportation companies by increasing fuel economy
• Suits all highly stressed diesel engines with and without turbochargers including trucks, buses, agricultural, construction, industrial equipment, vans and cars.

Can you check if the SC is using Mobil Delvac 1300 or 1340 because I manage to find 1340 only which is monograde. From Mercedes forum, Mobil Delvac is the recommended engine oil for C200 engine. There has been many discussion comparing both Delvac 1300 Vs Delo 400, just that can't seems to find it locally. Here is a good discussion that is more technical. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the result from Delo 400 so far, but just thought of comparing the difference since it is very good review too.

P/S : You can signup at http://www.themotoroilevaluator.com/ for free that compiled detail comparison chart of most engine oils, including their spec which enabled you to compare them easily.

Pack In 18Pail

You mean 18 litre pail or 18 gallon pail? If 18 litre, just nice for 2 Rexton, can try it out soon. But if 18 gallon that is about 64 litre for about 8 Rextons.

Hi Bro,

Usually Pail is in 18liters, if drum will be 200liters, im going to order for 10pails for minimum order, will reserve for bro Teerex, Harsher, Orex, Lim, rx270xdi and few of my Sorento members already confirm the order, if interested pls let me know.

2 person sharing 1 pail or 1 pail per person? Include me too, I think it's good if more are interested to group buy together. Not easy to find the right engine oil meeting the spec.
