Bought a Garmin Nuvi GPS through Gothpers outlet in Carrefour Wangsa Maju on 26th June and yesterday 14th September is stopped working. Paid RM 578 for it. Not exactly cheap for a base model.

When taking it to Gophers desk in Carrefour I'm told its got to be sent away for repair - hell its only 2.5 months old and thy cant replace it? No offer of a replac emtn while its sent away? Its been in my car - not dropped, no damage marks on it

In this day and age its a poor level of customer service. What to do? Harrass Carrefour for not having partners offering best customer service? What would Carrefour offr in this situation?

Should I stop the payment through my bank card?

Any suggestions? smile_angry.gif smile_disapprove.gif

It should have at least 1 year warranty.
Could be the lithium battery.
Try charging it for a day and see.or reset it
Exposing to sunlight could also be detrimental
What other choice then to wait to get it repaired.
Warranty did not say they would offer a replacement right?
No offend to you:
A suggestion anyone intending to buy gadgets must always remember the following
1.Repair shop where available
2.Available add ons such as pouches, screenprotector etc
3.Reviews on the gadgets.
4.What aftersales services they offer
5.Warranty card
price fall after a year so its difinitely a good deal
unless we are the type Get Everything Latest
see if it fits your budget

another way,try youtube.check out videos on HOW TO FIX...
Type your model and see if there are stuff out ther similar to yours

Since the transaction had been made,it had been made. You can`t stop payment otherwise bank will charge you interest
some more get into more problems.

I hope your problems will soon be solved

You bought a Garmin GPS at a Gophers outlet? Strange...The last i checked, both are rivals in the GPS market. And derrick74 is right, warranty clause might not offer a replacement, be it one to one or while the unit is away for repairs.
