Sequential no 3rd gear indicated?

Its a 2001 Ulysse 16V 2.0l petrol AT Gearbox. Can any of the owners or
those who have AL4 GB confirm with about your cars?

With engine started, in stationary (0 km/h), put gear into Manual mode.
Shift up from 1 to 4 and then down back from 4 to 1. Notice the gear
positionindicated on your dashboard. What I observed is the following:
Upshift = 1, 2, 3, 4
Downshift = 4,2,1 (note missing the 3rd gear?)

Appreciate if you can share your notes on this. Thanks.

Another thing, when its in "D" and when I am driving, then yes, I do have
3rd gear (because I check it using by pushing into "M" mode and then back
to "D" again). I confirm that my 3rd gear in "D" is working properly.

A Cit C5 owner (same GB), confirms that he had teh same thing. So must be
OK I Guess. Can anyone else confirm this? Appreciate your inputs.
