See, high-tech 8 speed gearbox give all kinds of problems. Better stick to Proton 3-speed or Toyota 4-speed autos; for sure problem-free
Quite true... Even 4-speed auto from Potong also not really reliable (from Wira 1.6 and Perdana history) and require more frequent maintenance (15k km or 1 year is the best bet) to remain good working condition.
Still i think 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox are mostly problem free if driven and maintain properly.

Malaysia have a problem with many counterfeit proton parts around causing unreliability later on.
True. Buying Protong spare part is either mengkayakan lanun cetak rompak (counterfeit parts) or mengkayakan kroni-kroni (ori parts).

not sure about F10 but for E60 or even E39 I found out that local ones are better specced.
Especially those from auto bavaria.
Most Jap specs lack PDC (reverse sensor for layman) and the radio wont work as the freq range is different.
UK cars normally have manual or semi-electric seats with no memory but almost all came with PDC and the radio wil work here.
Just my 2 cents opinion
