U call me unker somemore................
Swift Sport seems a bit strange as the manual 0-100 in 8.9 (vmax 200) but in auto it's 11.5 (vmax 170). Why the big difference? Swift is under consideration as it's relatively cheap but have to wait for new face lift model. When I asked the salesman at Auto Lumina about face lift, he looked as blur as if I was asking for Bugatti. How to buy from such a salesman?
Saw a Golf GTI on display at midvalley yest nite....210hp TSI, 6-speed DSG, DCC, XDS really hard to resist
pat,
century sprint for 1.5CKD can get 11 secs stock...this car is tuned (step 1) for good FC better than myvi with max speed 180km/hr - tested
SSS auto century dash is 10 secs and top speed of 200km/hr - nothing to shout about, but still can get some 'fun ride' of the Golf but sips on minimum RON97
SSS manual century dash is 8 secs + with top speed 210km/hr, and can hit 220 with performance filter and irridium sparks

Yeah, want to get GTI for wifey too but spending RM580k (W212+GTI) in one year is not a good idea. The 11.5 secs and 170 vmax I got was from the Suzuki Malaysia website. Maybe I should test drive first rather than speculate on how slow the auto might be. Would the Pug 308 Turbo be a better buy at RM110k I wonder?
Wrong forum but this E200 is not bad for a big mother..... can overtake cars almost at will (normal cars lah of course). Had some fun today.

...OSK Research said the three possible models could be the Golf, Beetle and Passat as they were Volkswagen's top three selling models in Malaysia currently.
As at June, Volkswagen had sold 273 Golf GTis, 96 Beetles and 90 Passats, with all three models combined representing as much as 68 per cent of the total volume sold.
"DRB-Hicom will also likely start the CKD assembly of the Audi (also part of the Volkswagen group) by 2012, for which it intends to increase yearly sales from 700 to 1,000 units," it said. -- Bernama

Wakey-wakey..... it's morning already and you are in Bolehland !! Be happy if you can get 15% off ! You know why? Becoz, in this "great" land of ours (not your land if you are a pendatang), someone somewhere have to take a large slice to give you the right to drive a car. So, if it costs 40% less to produce, "they" will take 25% (or more) and you will be left with 15% (or less). Am I right or am I right?

Keep hoping......................
I just called VWM marketing department and they said CKD will be Polo 1.2, Golf 1.4 and Scirocco 1.4. Polo and Golf first, then Scirocco later. Can anyone confirm this information?
