Well my girlfriend is also interested in gettinga Punto cuz she sez the
car looks cute... power wise doesnt matter but must be an Auto and abotu
Rm40k... what type of Punto can I get? From Motortrader, I see mainly the
1.3 Selecta (Its a CVT right?) but is there like a 1.6 auto?

Also what would the maintainance costs be for the car? Thigns liek a
service, oil filter, ATF, Absorbers etc go for?

JettaMK3, for 40K u can get a 2000 Selecta Auto, in real good shape. I
have been looking for a month now. If u don`t mind the underpower of the
Selecta, u can get one with full options, ie sunroof, dual airbags, cd
playeer. I am looking for the MK2 which is the Nouva. This is a 16valve
model and bit more power and tiptronic gears, cost around 45K. My wife is
really not interested in all the gadets lah, I think I am he,he,he! So
looking around for one. Good luck buddy!

DaoDao,after testing the 16v type, I am certainly interested in this
model. Tell me, does the temperature go up beyond the half mark in a
traffic jam with air-con on. Any problems with the speedgear. I live in
Kelana Jaya, where is the closest workshop here for the Punto. Got many
workshops where I live, but not sure if they can handle Fiat.

MASsenger, nearest location for Fiat workshop in your area would be Old
Klang Road. There's Goodwork Auto and Worldtech. Both a good place for
repairs and services.

There is a guy i know who wants to sell off his Punto Nuova. It comes with
Abarth bodykit and in black color. Asking price and year of manufacture
not too sure, but if you are really interested, gimme a call at 012-
2525237 and i can hook you up with the owner. Cheers!

Tks a lot JB for the offer of the Punto . I am actually very interested,
but the wife is against black color lah. My son bought a black Alfa 145.
Really sexy looking car & I also was enjoying driving the car. From the
start my wife was against it, she said it is bad luck color and looks
like a hearse. My son & I did not bother lah, let the old lady say what
she wants ……we thought! Man I tell u, in 6 months my son bungkused the
car. The car is a right off now, he was lucky to get out alive. So now
black car is banned lah! Will be very interested in any other color, let
me know if u spot one. Tks again buddy!

U r right subsonique about the tappet noise. There should ne no tappet
noise on this car. I just went over to Fiat showroom and picked up a
Punto brosure and found the tappets are hydraulic control. Wiht hydraulic
there should be no noise. The clearence is automatically adjusted by
hydraulics. Hey tks buddy, almost got conned by the salesman!

Pls give me the address of Goodworks & who should I see. What about
adding a second fan. Whaaah my wife really hooked on this already, she
won`t consider any others. For 46K can get a new Picanto, but she flatly
refused. Actually the Picanto is quite spacious and I am sure much more
echnomical with 1.1 engine. But complete vetoed at home, only Punto will
do now.

Punto however is built better and is a much more solid car than the
Picanto. But just worried on the maintainence
