Most recent i been attracked by new Shell introducing its Vpower 97, after trying mileage very much lesser compare with BHP RON95 and performance is closed.

Wah! like that Shell V Power RON97 is like BHP Ron95 only..... smile_blackeye.gif
I know Shell FS RON97 is crap as used before in my VR, same like Esso Ron 95, cannot use..... smile_shock.gif

I was petronas supporter for many years and recently after introducing RON95, i can feel performance and mileage drop. Some more my engine sound roughter.

But after switching to BHP RON95 my engine run quiter, mileage and performance also increase.

Most recent i been attracked by new Shell introducing its Vpower 97, after trying mileage very much lesser compare with BHP RON95 and performance is closed.

And just want to gether feedback from other driver. I understand there are many reason like loyalty, conveniance, points, price and etc.. but beside that is this due to quality or attracted by advertisement...

I used BHP ROn95 before , good fuel for the ROn95 range. A bit harsh on my iVtec.

But I am having better FC with this new VPower97 after Esso Ron97. I will test further since just reset ECU,.

No Way lah! despite BHP Ron95 is the best ron 95 i've try so far but it is still far behind Shell V-Power 97, if compare to the old Fuel save 97 maybe close. rolleyes.gif

Infact i would rate V-Power at par with Esso Synergy F1 only lost to BHP Ron97.

Here my revised rating again.

Ron 97
1.) BHP Infiniti 97 2X - Pro (Best Pickup & Power, Good Mileage.) Cons (Not so smooth).
2.) Esso Synergy F1 - Pro (Good Pickup & Power, Smooth) Cons (Bad Mileage).
2.) Shell V-Power 97 - Pro (Good Pickup & Power, Very Smooth, Good Mileage) Cons (Top end power lack).
3.) Petronas Primax 97 - Pro (Very good pickup & Power) Cons (Very bad mileage)
4.) Caltex Techtron 97 - Pro (Good Mileage) Cons (No good pickup & power, Not smooth)

Ron 95
1.) BHP Infiniti 95 2X - Pro (Best of ron 95)
2.) Petronas Primax 95 (2nd to BHP duel to power lacking)
3.) Caltex Techron 95 (Very common fuel nothing special)
3.) Esso 95 (Very comon fuel nothing special)
5.) Shell FuelSave 95 (Apart from mileage rest all fail)

V-Power 97 is the new fuel shell lauched recently, not V-Power Racing.
Maybe i should use the word "Average Fuel" mean nothing special about the fuel, not powerful nor weak, average mileage, aka like a plain meal we have not delicious nor yacky, got what i mean ? trink28.gif

Bro. Halem,
You terror lah...all the fuel you have used.....you can post like bro. The Gunner.... smile_tongue.gif
But for Ron 97 looks like your V Power 97 should be on top of Esso 97 as V power have more Pros then Cons over Esso..

Been loyal to Shell all these while. Used all FS Ron 95, FS Ron 97 and sometimes V Power Racing during company travelling (can claim milage smile_big.gif ). Alternatively using Petronas once a while ; and as for comparison sake, FC - Shell, Milage - Shell, engine sound (cold) - Petronas smoother, torque (pick-up) - Petronas and one obvious observation is that using Petronas, engine tend to 'jerk' during acceleration.

Starting March, I switched to Esso for both 95 & 97 and fair to say, it's all round better than both Shell & Petronas in term of FC and engine performance. So, will stick to Esso/Mobil from now on.

Btw, this judgement is based on proton 16-valve engine ('98 wira), perodua dvvt and i-vtec (ron 97 only)
