Your car one month plus now, right? How do you find the acceleration? Is it ok for highway use, i.e. can you accelerate from say, 80 to 130 quite easily or does it struggle a bit? Any wind noise at high speeds? Do share all the positives and negatives with us. Thanks.

Currently I have done 5k mileage on the car.
It does climb from 80 -130 easily, above 3k rpm can hear the engine noise but not too noisy until it drowns the radio. Wind noise is well controlled, above 120 you can hear the wind noise but it is very minimal and again does not drown the radio volume (meaning to say I don't have to increase the radio volume).
I have taken it up to Genting but only up to the skyway with four adults on board, handles corners pretty well and acceleration is good but the auto takes time to shift gears hence the driver needs to play around with the gears else it does feel sluggish going up but then again I took it up when it has only done about 3k km to 4k km.
Driving at 130-140 it does feel stable but the ride is on the bouncy side. The fuel mileage is also nothing to shout about, I get roughly between 11.3 to 12.8km/l for mixed driving.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. That's good information. Please keep us posted from time to time. Now my options are Swift, SX4, Polo or Altis 1.6. Purchase should be when year 2011 car is available.

I somehow feel the Altis 1.6 is pretty underpowered, and among your choice, Polo is my favourite. Swift handling is much better than the SX4 despite having a 1.5 engine. You can test drive and have a feel of the car, but I was upgrading from a Kelisa and needed a slightly bigger car with tall seating position; hence the SX4.

Actually, I wanted a smaller car, so Altis is at the bottom of the list since my garage is tight for a second car. As for the Polo, I worry about after sales as VW has proven to have poor after sales care. I don't know much about Suzuki, hence your input is important. Thanks.

So far for Suzuki, I am quite impressed with their service. Of course its unfair to compare them to say Toyota service centre. And some major parts maybe difficult to source especially for the SX-4 since it is relatively new to Malaysian market and also the fact that its sales is lower than that of the Swift.
And upon checking general parts price, does not seem to differ much from Toyota or Honda's..by general parts I mean oil filter etc.
But I saw an advert for new VW with only 1.28 or 1.38% interest rate and free service for 3 years or 5 years not too sure. Seems to be a good offer, but I guess it will be a pain to maintain after the free service period.

I've been driving my Sunlight Copper SX4 for the past 1.5 months. I would say it is a nice and comfortable car. And it certainly is a head turner since it's rather rare and especially when I put on a 6mm infrared tint. A nice contrast of sunlight copper colour and almost dark tinted glass...
I find that the engine is quite peppy with good response (as compared to my new Sentra that I've been driving the past 1 year). Also much better view (in terms of height) as compared to my Sentra. The side mirror is super huge and that really helps a lot with the side view.
The sound system is good and clear with ten speakers (including the tweeters).
Will most likely be driving down to KL either this weekend or next week so I'll have a better idea of the NVH then...

Same colour as mine, I am planning on doing Eco-tint Ray Barrier next month hopefully.
I am having some low noise rattles coming from the B-Pillar seat belt area. Informed the SC, but seems like they couldn't solve it. Yours is rattle free?
So far I get better mileage using BHP petrol, about 13.5 km/l vs Shell which I get around 12.1km/l

so far so good. rattle free for now. been using Shell (very near my house). BHP is out of the way. another nearest kiosk is Caltex. didn't monitor/check the FC as i can claim 100% of the petrol expenditure from my co.
what sort of low noise rattle are u hearing? could it be the door panel?

The low noise only happens occassionally and I believe I am hearing it from the B-Pillar plastic but could be the door panels as well. Now my driver side Power Window has some squeaks when its returning it back to the up position. Probably need to bring back to SC this weekend. I guess I am just unlucky, because the test drive car did not have this issues either.
