tommy73, you buy the Bravo with yr heart, others you buy with yr head.
You need passion to buy the bravo and it's that passion that keeps you
going. Go for it, it's one heck of a great looker.
The new FIAT;s have most certainly improved by great leaps.

have been using Selenia for my other Fiat & its also recommended oil for
Fiat Bravo so I rather stick to it. You are welcomed to use other brands as
long as the rating is the same.
Mine is Maranello red..so far I heard there are 2 owners in Klang Valley.
Mine and another Blue Bravo.
Sorry, I wouldn't give a second look to Japanese makes.

good and bad points on this new model.
I have tested the car a few weeks ago and I must say that it was awesome.
Planning to get my hand son one of these by mid year but from what I have
heard, the next shipment thats coming will not have the 6 speed manual
tranny anymore but with 6 speed selespeed system. Maybe I can ask them to
sneak a manual tranny unit for me.

I was at Torino service centre on Saturday. Made appointment for 10am but
reach there at 10.20am. Was making some warranty claims but getting first
service done. Was told will take 1 hour. Said Ok and went for tea at
canteen. Came back 55 minutes later & saw car still parked...haven't moved
an inch. Wanted to make noise but someone came and drove it inside. After
about 1 hour later car was ready. Oil&filter change done, road test(???)
done. They also did a car wash. Collected keys and was told to return at
20Km for service.
Left the place at 1.00pm.
Met David (gtfan) there who was collecting his Coupe. Had a pleasant
conversation with him.

q: What's so special about Selenia oil, compared to other makes e.g. Shell
or Mobil One?
a: i have been using selenia oils for quite some time. VS gas, HPX, gold,
europa, 20K. let me say that my old faithful engine is a lot quieter and
smoother. considering it quite an agricultural sounding machine, 8v SOHC,
when filled with selenia it went quieter.
the 20K really delivered it 20,000km promise. and indeed i have used it
exceeding that. during draining time, no bubbles formed and the colour is
not that dark black. mind me, you wont do that in a japanese machine. my
car manual stated oilchange every 15,000km for mineral based oil and it
requires only API SG.
the only gripes with selenia is inconsistent supply.by the time i wanrt to
change oil, it is always out of stock.so, i alternate with wurth oil if
selenia is not available.
petronas have acquired selenia from the FL(fiat lubrificanti)of fiat
group.we know that since agnelli's demise, fiat group is in trouble.plus
the failure of stilo in the market, made it worse. to what extend petronas
agreed in the purchase, we don't know. hopefully selenia lubricants will be
available in all petronas stations. then all pakcik2 in kampung will run
their 2 stroke kapchai with selenia 2t.
the new bravo is hopefully the model that will turn fiat around, plus the

The new FIAT model range sure is good and enticing, makes me
wanna hop over from the frenchies that I have but am waiting
for the 500 but also heard that's gonna be 100k over.
We are doomed in this country pay through our arses for
something that cost a pittance in europe.
