Anymore update on this cc5 ?
My friend current looking for 2 tyre for his SAGA BLM 185/60/R14 ......roughly how much now?
For 185/60/R14, not much good tyre choices already. CC5 should be good enough. Last I heard around RM210, some places cheaper. Please check around.....

I've just change my Saga BLM to C.drive 2. RM 180. So far very quiet and soft.

I'm not kaki lari, but for normal driving it feels much quiter, softer and lighter in cornering compared to the original Ducaro GA. Have not had a chance to test on wet road but review said its good in wet road.

I'm just about to change another set of CC5. With this current set I'm at the thread wear marker milage is at 40,000km/2yrs. Nissan cefirio 3.0L 205/65/R15. My previous CC1 gave me 70,000km and I was running 195/65/R15 and another set gave me 50,000km with the same 195 size but I decided to change all 4 as one of the tyres gave way and blew out on the highway which I did post in the past. In the manual it gives me the choice to choose either 195 or 205.
Life of this CC5 is much lower compared to the CC1 but I must say over all it has much more better tyre comfort, noise and grip wise. I also noticed that the tyre holds its performance up well until this level of wear and increase in trye noise is only slight. Overall it holds its HVH and grip wise through out the life of the tyre much better than the CC1. So you have to give some in order to get some. So to give up some tyre life for better overall tyre performance I would say is a good trade off. Especially NVH is much better than the CC1.

My wife SUV also on CC1 (came with car). CC1 have bigger block so have sipes. These sipes are very shallow and wear off pretty fast then the traction weakens. The pattern also prone to uneven wear then the woong woong sound comes....
CC5 however smaller block without much sipes, so probably traction better throughout it's life then CC1

Ahh!! so that confirms my suspicion on the woong woong sound. happens usually above 90kph, can be heard clearly especially when on the highways.

Yup, especially block patterns. Once they wear uneven and wavy the woong woong sound will come....
