Hi everyone I am a newbie in sbk so I hope everyone can give some really good advices and pricing.

My status:
1. Single
2. Chinese
3. 23 years old
4. 163-165 height
5. 59 KG (Most probably will go to the GYM to build up if really decided to buy)
6. Skinny a bit.
7. B2 motor license(Planning to get B Full)
8. 5 years motorbike exp with EX5 and 4 years exp with cars
9. RM 1500+ per month probably will change job to a RM 2000+pay in KL
10. Will ride within street(80%) and on the highway(20%)
11. Seremban people
12. Budget 40K

Purpose Of Buying:
1. Transport
2. Fast, I like to Speed in a safe way (I am not a Mat Rempit, show off, and zig zag)
3. Love SBK when I first saw it
4. Stable and nice sound(Just a simple additional point)
5. Planning to be single and get a SBK for interest

Q&A:
1. If I get a SBK what must I know in order to take care of the bike(Service, care for parts, and prevention)?

2. How much is the road tax and Insurans?

3. About Loan(Everything about it)?

4. Am I really suited for superbike(I really want to start from 600CC, drove a yamaha rx before felt kinda heavy abit)?

Preferable Bike:(Sport Bike)
1. Honda 600 RR 2006 onward (New and Second hand)
2. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (New and Second hand)
Can give me the price for these 2 or suggest another brand.

garyu87 ....an advice n info for u..a rm40k bike u need to pay monthly around rm500-rm700 n down payment roughly rm7-10k ...for me juz get a 250 or 400 first

another thing is, u'r targeting a 4 cylinder "sportbike" which is realllyyyy high to maintain...tyre alone will cost u around Rm1000 which only last max 5000km(u can opt for touring tyres but with lesser grip but still it only last max 10000km)

since your riding experience are only on ex5, i think better you buy a 150-250cc bike first to familiarise with weight,handling, maintenance and other whatnots....not to discourage you about buying a 600, but they are very powerful and i wouldn't want you to become part of the statistics.....you can ride a 600 later in life, dont worry...you still have a long way to go...

But there are several other factors you need to think of besides the price of the bike

a) road tax
insurance
c) maintenance i.e. tyres, servicing, oil changes etc etc

If you are under 25, the cost of insurance is slightly more than if above 25.

The bikes you are looking at are very expensive and its not easy to purchase with just Rm 40,000. If you need an idea of the cost of the bikes try going here

Like what Zulfa said, you may want to practice with a 250 or 150 cc bike first,

Kawasaki 250 R
Honda CBR 150

these bikes are light and easy to use, get used to the way it handles first.

I can pay RM20K down payment
Some forum say you can buy a cheap Tyre around RM300.
How long do you service one time and pricing?

Actually I've few experience on a Yamaha RXZ (?CC) felt abit heavier.
If I ride a 600cc I wont straight away accelerate, I would take it slowly until I'm very very confident then I'll slowly pace up.
Well I am very careful rider except for people knocking me!

Can't I just start from 600cc, I really love those sport bikes. Do I really really have to start from 150-250cc then only can go 600cc?
Hey guys just let me know the rough figure for everything so that i can summarize whether i should have a 600cc or a 250cc(Kawasaki 250R). B2 license can only ride 250cc bike only right at MAX?

I think u can straight away go to 600cc bike. Its just that most of us here start from lower cc bike and gradually move up to bigger cc's. You mentioned that the RXZ feels quite heavy. The 600cc bikes are two times heavier. U may need some upper body strength to handle them.

With RM40k, can get ZX6R, CBR6, R6, GSXR6 of the year 2000. Or you can get a brand new Kawa ER6F for RM35k but without the vroom vroom sound.

no no no no..never buy the cheap tyres unless u want to be part of the "statistic"... the cheap tyres were a 2nd hand tyre from track day usually a semi-slick compound..yeah it cheap,n people say it offer superior grip because it a track tyre..but many are mistaken,semi-slick tyre/track tyre need a high operating temperature which we can never achieve in normal road condition,n they also rapidly cool down

last year i saw for myself a guy riding cbr1000rr using "cheap" tyre crash into the guard rail..the reason: he slow down to below 110kmh for about a kilometer...i don' know what happen to him but i never saw him since

hmm u said yamaha rxz is heavy..that only about 110kg...ninja 250r weight 158kg n a 600 usually 170-200kg...juz start from lower,u will have much fun n more confident pushing a lesser machine..trust me.no matter how u'r being careful riding a big bike,u will make a mistake,n it better that mistake is on a 250 than on a 600cc(more speed equal more momentum equal less reaction time n also bigger lost la hehe) ...start from below..n when u feel confident,upgrade ... u will be a much better rider then..

and remember, big bike produce the same horsepower as ur average family car but with <200kg n 2 tyre .. so make up ur own mind,we just give opinion

In a forum says that a new Tyre cost RM500-700 new ones and my friend says that If you slow brake it won't wear down so fast but if you fast and rapidly brake then you will have to change fast.
I saw in the web(Wiki) saying Honda 600RR 06 is 163.7 kg and 07 is 154.7 kg. I've test ride my friends 250R 09 I'm still okay with it(cornering and accelerating) inside a taman la.

I ride on the Rxz when I just got my license(16 years old) now no problem.
250r(158kg) heavier abit cornering need some strength.
IF 600cc add more 10-20kg I think okay la.

Does seremban area sells Honda CBR 600 RR 05-08 new or second hand(Hard to find it)? Yesterday I went to the motorbike shop but all closed at 6pm after work. Even now my feeling is excited and rush, have to control my buying mood so that I wont buy anything straight away then regret later..he he he!

The answer: No.
which 600 cc bike you talking about? Some have 2 cylinders. some have 3, some have 4?

Ninja 250r is an inline 2 cylinder and will never sound the same as an inline 4 ZXR.

likewise,
the Ninja 250 r does not sound the same as a Naza Blade 250 ( v-twin cylinder)

Most parts are what you called "slip on" or "plug and play"

in other words you can remove the part and keep it or sell it off.
put back the original parts onto the bike and then sell it.
Price of vehicles will always drop, but in Malaysia Motorbikes wont drop in value so fast.
I forsee the value of 2nd hand 250 R to remain steady for 5-6 years because its a good beginner bike. There is also currently no 250 from other brands except for the Naza.
