other turbo diesel car option would be BMW 320d/530d for the moment if you are talking about new car.

i admit that i m not compare an apple with an apple. but vios is certainly not a rotten orange.
although i too never like a vios, but so many people are buying it, especially those former proton owner, there must be some reason.
i reckon that if focus is not price below 100k, u will never convince majority middle class buyer to switch from an apple to an orange.

Just Ah Beng or Ah Pek mentality that says drive T or H means you have status! Even can made with cheapest bits in Thailand but sold at premium here! Try to compare Vios with Fiesta or mazda @ which have better insulated quality, equipment and gearing (6 speed for Fiesta). Ppl who move up from P1 to T but cannot afford better cars like Civic or Altis will deffinately choose Vios..more J&E are sold than the Gs or TRD versions...same people who think driving a tin-kosong Avanza gives them Toyota status..dunno wat status...millioaire-ah?

For Ford TDCi, its a diesel, so you save up in fuel when the G decides to raise Ron 95 & 97 or diesel, you still pay less for more km! Oh did you know its a Focus? The 1st gen was an automotive success worldwide (except msia) for 6 years and won all trophies worldwide for design, handling, etc..never see any T winning that..(maybe Prius). Next time come to car forums, bring knowledge with you, no one would fault you if you dun add any worthless comments.

nowadays modern diesel same road tax wt petrol...cc to cc

maintenance might be slightly higher...but the torque is very addictive, effortless overtaking and flattening all hills & mountain (try driving a diesel up Karak...no sweat).......plus the Go green factor
