The Gap

Just to get some opinions from our fellow drivers.....does anyone know what "closing the gap" means when driving?
1,463,700 Scoville heat units.....can u feel the burn?

'Closing the gap' i think is closing the road space so that other vehicles can't cut in. Usually, these technique is more applied to those Q-jumpers (except emergency) who's only think about themselves.

what annoys me is in a traffic jam, many cars move forwards with huge gaps between themselves and the car in front, sometime 6 or 7 car length, so the knock on effect in a jam is a tailback which is three times longer than it needs to be! That's when the weaving starts!

1/2car length still considered ok..

but as u stated 6-7cars equals of spaces...then SF is the way to go..
