hi,
during my jalan2, i found this fiat ulysse green colour in a used car yard.
full leather seat 1.9 TD EL. i discovered something new. this car was
converted to nissan cefiro 2.0 16v dohc auto. (i think sr20de non
turbo).looks nice but originality ? even the gearshift is placed on special
console on the floor. anybody knows the previous owner?
i think there are so many halfcut xantia,zx and 405 out there to do the
petrol conversion. if anybody interested to see fiat cefiro, just follow
the road from bukit raja to kampung jawa thru the connaught bridge.the used
car dealer is just after the corner.

hi zulfa!

Your idea of PSA/Fiat mpv club sounds very interesting. So does the DIY
thingy. Count me in please! I'm reachable at 012-6772970. Btw, I'm from
Puchong. Envy you laa for having the 806.

About the Fiat cefiro, I think it is such a laughable stock. Only those
who is insane enough will buy it..hehe!

Replace clutch cable but after a while, it will be heavy again. A longer lasting but
not necessarily a better option, replace clutch pressure plate. Very expensive.

hi again,
presently the joint fiat-psa mpv club member added 1 more synergie.
about the clutch , the previous owner complained about the stiff clutch. no
need to replace the cable. just oil it. just see at the bottom of the
pedal, the cable will run into a sleeve before the penetration to the
engine bay. pull the sleeve to the right, then the
two locking bracket will free itself. lift the sleeve slightly and you can
see the cable. oil the cable from there. if you have assistance, better
since other person can push the pedal and keep lubricating. happy trying!
one more thing, the carpets that comes with this mpv seems to be very soft
and rides frontwards. resulting in covering the aircon vent below driver
and second row seats. anybody come up with better solution to anchor the
carpets?
currently, i am working a way out to conceal the floor holes(seat securing
holes).dust & other whatnots can gather in the holes. looks like another
job for the empty engine oil bottles.
yesterday,in kajang i saw one ulysse with antera 17" sport rims. very sexy.
does the owner in this forum?

good explanation there zulfa, I guess we can include the lubrication and
hole conceal thingy in a DIY session..if any!

I'm not sure whether our MPV carpet are similar but my Evasion don't have
that problem. Probably becoz the bottom surface of the evasion carpet is
made of rubber and has a kind of thread to ensure it won't slip easily.

Just my 2 sen.

john,
I think its not due the pressure plate. Its the stupid design cable,
winding like rivers before it reach the gearbox. Maybe they should use
hydraulic-assisted clutch. I'vr thought this but can't find a good
practical design

Why I thought so is because I felt a world of difference after the replacement of the
clutch including the pressure plate. Of course that did not last very long but longer
than just replacement of the clutch cable. Anyway, I still am keeping the old one.
Slowly dripping oil in the cable just in case the one in the car give way.

Anyway, after completed fixing by Torino and two weeks of testing, I am ready to
sell my Fiat now. Anyone interested call me 012-3369323. Mileage 168K (1997).,
P6 Pirelli tyres.

hate to sell it after fixing so many things but got to as I have too many cars at home.
