Your RPM set very high ar?
it'll maintain at 600rpm. n it'll maintain at diff speed depending on which gear, the higher the gear the faster it is.
so i'm wondering is it the same with the auto gear when it is engaged in D n not pressing the accelerator pedal?

yup...same situation on autobox...
