kop,

X-Trail is a value for money SUV if u are into SUVs...
BUt u may also consider the Mitsu Airtrek Turbo that uses a toned down Evo7 engine with 240hp on engine.
Cruiser

i dont like all mitsu engine.
their turbo engine also sux big time.
even airtrek got evo 20 also i dont bother at all.
not suitable for 150-200km daily travel.

nissan, toyota, mazda, suzuki...those are my top priority.

even honda i dont bother at all. sorry to all honda and mitsu owner.

Funny you should say that. One of my friend always try to avoid Mitsu diesel engine.
I prefers to use my head than follow the crowd. After all, it is my money and not theirs.

Airtrek's transmission will blow up eventually, cos of engine power too huge. My friend's boss blew up his 03 airtrek's auto tranny, cost like 20k to replace a brand new unit...horrible.. smile_dead.gif

get the 2.5L.
I previously owned a 2.0L and i was quite satisfied with it except for its underpowered engine.
Just sold it to my dad last month. BTW, i'm not sure all or some of the 2.0L, their rim size is one of a kind.
You wont have much choice for that rim size. 2.5L should be better
