Not really. Depends on the model of tyres too. GY is branded but their tyres are not really sky high..... smile_thumbup.gif

What about B'stone Turanza ER33 ?

Thinking of change it to better tyres..to exploit more from already good low NVH cabin. The car still in the showroom. If ER33 not good, can go straight to tyre shop and get better tyres. Can trade in at better price since the ER33 still new condition.

Any suggestion? Need comfort and silent.

Thank you

Ah! ER33, so you getting a Camry??
For comfort and silent......
1) Michelin Primacy LC
2) Toyo C-1S
3) BS GR-90
4) Yoko ES501

But be warned that silent tyres with small grooves are not very good in the wet.
As for Toyo C-1S, some members have confirmed to have better wet handling, where BS GR-90 is still new without any feedback.....

Ya bro Vr2turbo...the old S70-2.0T is tired already and not economical to maintain. What is important need trouble free motoring=peace of mind .... nightmare for ppl who always travel long distance dealing biz when driving old continental like Volvo, where specialist mechanic not as easy to find as other continentals brands.

the Camry will come out next week. At 1st only want to settle with 2.0G , but too underpowered. 2.4 is sufficient but i will miss the turbo kick smile_thumbup.gif Not enuff RM to get powerful Volvo S60T5 smile_blackeye.gif

Will try to look out for BS GR90 or Michelin Primacy...thanks for suggestion bro

Stick to the ER33 lah. Drive more, I think they are good tyres. If good enough for Toyota, good enough for us.

I had stock NCT5s on my 2005 Camry and they were good enough. Lasted 60k kms. Then came the GR80s and I loved them. They lasted 55k kms. Could not wait for the GR90s as 80s were bald already. Now I have GY Excellence. Not as good as GR80s.

Well, I don't think it is good enough for Toyota but the cheapest alternative....ha! ha! Most OEM tyres are like that...... smile_tongue.gif
Good enough also depends on the individual. To you maybe good enough, to some not so....... smile_blackeye.gif
You have the GY Excellence, some quote hard and bumpy and later noisy..... smile_shock.gif

I did not know that this forum existed then.. haha..

Harder and bumpier and noisier than GR80s. Grips just as well. Small step up from the NCT5s. I redline my Camry every day and the Excellence takes it as it comes. Good enuf for me smile.gif
