hey, near century garden here got magnatec 10w-30...it's SemiSyn rite...

is it ok if i change to 10w-30 for my next oil change? as i've been using 10w-40 after the initial 5k scheduled service...

i hav another waja cps on 5w-40...is this grade of oil lighter than 10w-30 ??

5w-40 FS, 10w-30 SS which one of this is more suitable for a new car around 10k km??? as yes i think i felt the engine abit heavier than when i initially drive the car which is b4 the 5k service.

anyone seen mobil with 10w-30 oil?? super2000 is 10w-40 only wor...and how come 10w-40 more expensive thn 10w-30 ??

0W-30 - FS I agree. Hehe.

5W-30 - I believe mostly are FS. So far I've seen only P2 genuine oil are available on semi.

10w-30 - semi and mineral (syntium 800 if not mistaken got 10w-30)

Since recommended is 10w-30, you can switch back.
As for 5w-40, also can use. But if you feel it is heavier, then better use 10w-30
Have not seen any 10w-30 for Mobil

from wat i was told...10w-30 give better FC?? 10w-40 is thicker there fore better engine protection???

btw, very curious of the 30 & 40 behind the 10W...wat does it means anyway? is it the temperature the oil can withstand???

Yes, the 10w-30 may give your better FC, lighter engine response, and 40 not necessary give you better protection.
Even though 40 has higher flash-point then 30, but for normal everyday use makes no difference.
Whether to use 30 or 40, look up manufacturer recommendation first..... smile_thumbup.gif

Mobil distributor is next door to my mechanic, but have not seen any 10w-30 before.....
Their oil is the 1000 15w-40, 2000 10w-40, Mobil 1 silver 5w-50 and Gold 0w-40 and the Diesel oil

I think those light oil only suitable if you always on ct drive ..or else no point. I does feel the engine lighter then pickup better. Of course still depends on your right foot.

and ya ,30 makes no diff if for normal drive since it wont reach tht flash point unless you keep high rev the car. This is wht i gather so far but me no chemist lah.
