I have recently had the Forte 1.6SX for review, and here are my thoughts: Forte 1.6SX - Sheer bang for buck

The following are two accompanying articles:
- Forte vs Hyundai i30
- An alternative to the Waja?

Gunner,
Regarding the trip up Genting & long 2nd gear ratio, did you try using the manual shifting? Should solve that issue I suppose.

I was using manual mode and holding it on 2nd gear for most of the journey. It's actually quite good on flat yet curving roads, as you can use that one gear to negotiate the entire journey, but when you factor an upward slope into it, the car struggles a bit.

gunner yes it does as do many with cat below. the engine is reverse design with intake front & exhaust at firewall. its warm but not much of concern. another thing if u use outside air when aircon is off its also warm as its drawing from engine bay instead of outside windscreen. only reason i can assume is its designed for cold weather countries to save on heating. but u can try on a very cold nite windows down with warm air from vents its actually very pleasing to my surprise.

i got this for the center console & cup holes much better also no key rattles.... kakaka
