somehow, why syphy speedo meter only has 180km/h maximum ? this is quite strange for a 2.0 cc car, rite? mr popcorn, whats your n16 average fc nowadays ? still havent tried ron 95 yet ?
JDM Speedometer. 180km/h is their standard speed limit. Not sure we have the speed limiter install or not in the CKD G11. Frankly, car like N16, has like 220km/h meter install. IMpussyble to reach (with stock car)
Please don't PM me.

I highly doubt anyone will dare to drive a stock standard Sylphy beyond 180km/h. U need to have the balls of diamond or at least steel to do that. Honestly, the Sylphy still has the power to push beyond 180km/h but by 160km/h your hands will start to sweat.

ManU,
N16 FC in pure town driving improves to 11-12km a litre (stock and no mod)
Sunyatsen,
Haiyah u think u still age 18-22 meh wanna try the 200kph mark... nowadays 140kph also enuf lar. Bear in mind this is a passenger family sedan lor. Mebe with Impul S-Tuned settings u dare to hit 180kph.
Btw have u lost to any Protons 1.6 manuals on high end speed (not beyong 160kph) since those comes with good high-end speed?

Yup no one car is perfect... totally agreed
good choice for a family car
thought u may be influenced by someone on Civic or Lancer GT as "The" car...

I would want to ride in a comfortable car to drive around be it city or long distance. Speed is relative. For city, it is full of cars, is handling very important ? Long distance, we use NS Highway 90% of the time. Do we need to take or celok corners like mad ? How often do we use B roads anymore ? Let's be honest after a while you get tired of it also. This is just my opinion, may be I am getting old. 2003 was a long time ago. Cheers.

Already shared my side of the story with the fatty mah. There is another happy Sylphy owner, Maplephy. I see that he is quite active in Motortrader. Perhaps, u can find more opinions about the Sylphy over there.
Ahaha, my name is mentioned again!
Yes, I was a happy owner of N16, GXE 1.8 all those while, but then upgraded to Sylphy in July last year, I'm now happier. Cheaper to maintain with better comfort lar... Believe me not, I just did my 40k km service, the damage is only RM 213.00 excluding engine oil(own Castrol). I save money in:
1) No Timing belt replacement <> RM 400+
2) No steering fluid is required
3) No need to replace X-CVT transmission fliud(can last upto 120,000km) <>RM 200+
4) No replacement of spark plug(last upto 100,000km) <> RM 60+
5) Skipped wheel alignment/balancing <>RM 50++ because tires are wearing off evenly, also almost due for replacement with 25% left-over.
6) Skipped engine tuning <> RM80+, because I'm still getting 16km/L++ for long distance travel & power is still great with RON95, unlike those mentioned in T forum, they got power-lost: http://forum.autowor...showtopic=91334
Overall Nissan engine is good, but a little bit not too happy with the discount on Sylphy in July 2008 during lauching time as to compare with the current discount offered by ETCM.
Cheers

great that u are enjoying your new ride..
btw with X-CVT when descending downhill ie. Genting any Grade Logic funtion meaning gear will be held longer and not upshift when speed goes higher on a downhill?
ATF 100k km interval? That's quite long...
Using iridium pulgs lasting 100k km?
