that's about the same FC my ACV40 (2.0) get whenever I went balik kampung to tangkak from KL.
2 adults, 3 kids (5,7,9 yo), plus luggage around 50kgs. speed 110-120 km/h.
by the way my car FC is 14.5km/l based on meter reading.

my mileage is based on actual refueling reading up to brink and not data display
i have heard that camry provides good FC on highway, good car
but can yours get 12-13km/L pure city drive i.e. crusing along LDP or federal highway daily during peak hours? smile_big.gif
i know swift 1.5 auto can, beating myvi 1.3 auto which is around 10.5-11km/L smile_thumbup.gif

ps: swift 1.5 auto 120km/hr @ 3,000rpm....not considered refine engine but very robust, i know a salesman who had run over 300K km and all he did was adjust the timing-chain tension, no engine prob or whatsoever....my dad's 18yrs old jimny had run > 500K km and never perform engine top-overhaul.....The Strength of Suzuki...kakaka...

Was at a used car lot and saw a 2007 model SS selling for RM56,000.00 single owner with 55,0000 km. Sales rep said this is a imported unit, better than local CKD. Since a new unit only cost about 74,000.00, what is your advice ?

Thanks.

the SS ckd was launched in 2007 at price 71K+ if i am not mistaken....at that time dealers are promoting cbu units with leather seats and v-kool....do not trust on odo mileage....it is your choice, the new SS comes with keyless entry, side mirror with indicators and you can opt for SS Sport bodykits under loan finance

if you decided to go on an used unit, find one with full service history records....there are many involved with accidents (coz many trendy and wealthy youngsters used to own, race and thrash them)....you need to beware and avoid heavily modified ones...follow this budget for a better peace of mind:

RM56K - on the road with insurance = around RM58K
Allow 4-5% (3yrs car) for full service, replace wear and tear items like tyre, absorber, batt, etc. (parts can be costly)...warranty just over
So, you need at least RM60K

your nick

yest my wife drove over a road kerb and damaging the 3 bumper brackets located underneath....upon inspection the kerb grazed the gearbox steel cover....luckily it did not hit the other side which is the engine casing. smile_disapprove.gif
beware coz both the engine and GB are located very low beneath....bad design and a potential hazard for thousand $ of bill smile_disapprove.gif
