Civic or Mazda 3 ?

No comparison in malaysia about the car,, Becos our car tax is very high, Nothing to compare,,
Now in Malaysia many people only compare the price and compare who the sale man giving the higer discount,,
Even the car of the brand.... Of cos no money buy car can talk a lot in the forum.. but we are also not a tecnical,, Just hear by people and reading by book..

Anyway i just only trust the skill driving...

I only have this word say~~~~ Evryone can drive the fast car,, But not everyone can take the car fast... even what horse power how big... hehe jay here from mazda

if wana race, pls go sepang or any other race tracks...don't do silly comparisons on public roads n endanger others...most of us msian drivers have balls larger than brains...but big balls won't keep u alive when u crash...safety always come first...

Dunno about Mazda 3, 2.0... But I tapau A White 2007 Ford Focus 2.0S Hatchback today using my 2008 Civic FD2 2,0IVTEC. The FOCUS overtook me at 130km/h in Federal Highway (from Klang), I gave chase and managed to overtook the Focus at 145km/h and ahead since then. We were side by side at Shah Alam Tol both Using SMARTAG. Civic FD2 acceleration clearly outpaced the Focus. The Focus Can't keep up... Home run...

By the way, the Civic FD2, hit 0-100km/h in 8.8 secs (Paddle shift) and 9.2 secs (Auto shift). According to Autocar Asean, the Mazda 3 2.0i auto 0-100km/h is MERE 9.7secs. Also, Civic 2.0 FD2 came with 5 SPEED AUTO NOT 4 SPEED as found in Mazda 3 2.0/Focus 2.0. Extra Ratio to play with = MORE ECONOMICAL As well...

BUT CORNERING... Ermmm... I think very tight competition...

Correct me if I'm wrong? I believe FOCUS 2.0 = Mazda 3 2.0 Engine No?

Try to run with the 2.0TDCi Focus with 6sp double-clutch next time if you happen to see one, you will have more fun... btw, new MZ3 is 5sp, engine base should be the same with Focus but different tuning and tranny.... stock vs stock, focus and mz3 should outrun any stock FD2 at winding roads base on my previous exp...

hmm if give this challenge to the hands of a professional driver, think both cars will probably record quite similar times. But for amateur normal drivers, perhaps having more confidence that the car gives u is key
