Dear all,

Anyone experience shortage of radiator coolant?

Discovered today while showering my lion that the coolant is slightly below the minimum level.

Wondering which coolant is recommended and adviseable for our pug 308???

almost time for service? Don't mix coolant cos incompatibility may be an issue. Suggest you add water only until service time to tell them ... anyhow if your radiator is not leaking then the amount of coolant may still be same .. just that more concentrated since water dried off ... so you add water .. almost same concentration.
Don't wait for chances, create them!

went to KS for my first inspection. asked them to check on the coolant since i noticed it's a bit milky and not either blue or green as expected. then i was informed there was no coolant at all... wtf??? smile_disapprove.gif is this possible or they just want us to spend more?

anyway since i already have the intention to flush the coolant, requested them to do so. now it's blue.....

Actually the coolant level will drop to min level after running the car for sometime. Just slowly open the cap to release the pressure and the coolant level will be back to normal. I thought i had to top up but once i opened the cap the level was back to normal. And pls DO NOT overfill...!!

Pug/citroen have their special coolant which already mix with water. You just buy a small 1 litre bottle and topup anytime when the level going down. Every two years the coolant need to drain and replace with new coolant (around 5 litre= rm95.00)

any shop sells pug/citroen spareparts.. Just ask for coolant special for pug/cit.. There is a 1litre and 5 litre readymix. That means you can use it straight without adding water. From my experience, when i first got my bestari..there is no coolant on it.. Looks like rusty water after 6months.. So when my car pass the 60k service.. i ask them to drain the old water and replace fully with pug/cit coolant around 5 litre.. Until now almost 100k the water still green... and of course temperature lower... And i also bought the 1 litre, in case i want to topup a bit..not remember how much the 1 litre..but 5 litre is rm95.00... same goes with my 407.. the expansion tank looks clear like without any coolant on it. I will wait until 30-40k to replace the water with that coolant... just a reminder.. that replacing a coolant need to be done by mech in sc... because he know what he's doing... they put the coolant while engine running and it need to bleed the system to make sure no air trap in the system.

Just sharing my suggestion:
Best is not to add any other solution other than the premixed coolant.

You can get 5L from Nasim/Peugeot @ RM65.70

When you send for Service, remember to ask the mechanic not to top up with water; Ask them to top up with the Coolant liquid or try to bring your bottle over.

If your coolant is dirty (like Nescafe?), might suggest to do a FULL COMPLETE Flush. For Auto transmission, the 206 will need more than 5L, so means, 5L + 2L bottle; and the labour charge is around RM60 for 206.
If they only change 2L (see the bill), then means it's not a complete flush.
