agreed

but the promo actually is giving out discount after minus the 10% downpayment required for HP eg. RM 113x10%= 11300-5200= RM6100 so that is the actual discount given but they try not to be too direct.

to me RM6100 discount for a 2009 car is quite ok compare to those jap honda civic and toyota altis

I see. Thanks for the explaination. So I need to understand the statement between the lines. What a good business stratergy.

I think this new Ford Focus is a good car.... basically what you will get for some 60-70K cheaper is a clone of the Volvo S40... nice trink39.gif

no doubt focus a good car, but I doubt anyone who can afford RM2k installment would pay only RM5.2k as their d/p.

But RM6k discount is good... u cant get at any T or H dealer. S maybe, but probably end of year.

Any one who's in the market for new Focus, now's the time bro to make ur booking, hehe...
Often wrong, never in doubt...

Yes, this is the correct interpretation. One of my friends booked and was told that the 52 units are almost sold out (around 9 left) - you may still be able to get it tomorrow but that will be touch and go. This void created by the 90% HP finance and the RM 5,200 only deposit is very clever! However, the catch is that the interest rate is 3.25% for 5 year HP. Most other car companies give a lower rate. As such part of that discount will be paid for with higher interest charges.

Flee

Car are generally good. How about the below point:-

1) After Sales service & maintenance

2) Warranty & Parts Replacement

3) Cost of maintenance after warranty

4) 2nd hand resale value

Is it really worth more than 100K? Below is the market value of US national car, for more than 100K you could have buy 2 or 3.

i guess is hard to compare prices abroad
there are other element that influences the prices

best is just to compare with local scene

Well i mean is like throwing away all your hard earn RINGGIT to a blackhole for the sake of "been distinct" or "unique". Socially, i hope not many M'sian will do that, let's conserve our capital to put in better use sector e.g. operating a business, funding some charity, and invest in value add stuff.

Country will prosper if the nation invest wisely choose what is best value etc.
