Been seriously considering getting one. Ideal choice, of course would be one of those unsold ones from Torino, but wife not so receptive to the idea since she considers it a monstrosity. Heheh. So, next best option is a used one since these are much more affordable. Saw a few selling in Mudah.com.my, mostly 2002 1.6M and 1 unit of 2004 1.9TD.
I've gone through almost all the Multipla threads here and so far the verdict has been positive. But what I would like to know is, is it still good? Given that most of these cars are already 7 yrs old, I would assume that parts are starting to wear out and things are starting to rattle and roll under the hood.
What would the upkeep be like? Are the parts hardy and affordable? Or should I have a small savings and a lot of time to go back and forth to the workshop?
Pls advise. Thank you!

50 views and no replies? Can't be that bad can it?
Doesn't anyone have a positive experience on owning a used Multipla?

Yeah the verdict has mostly been positive but these were back in 2003, 2005 when the car was still new. Just curious if the car is still a good buy now, that's all. If I were to buy a used one today, what sort of repairs shd i be expecting? Thanks anyway. Will check out the link.

bro theJames
i own one, JTD, not many problem i can say, almost 6 years, but some of multipla owners do have some gremelin with the car. maybe luck i can say. i can say from reading in all the car forum, even with japanese or malaysian car, once you stuck with gremelin, you had it.
anyway back to the topic. only problem with fiat, not many workshop around that you can trust to meddle with the car. sparepart for conti car not cheap. no aftermarket sparepart too, even very hard to get Fiat logo keychain
have a visit at italiaauto.net or http://groups.yahoo....tipla_malaysia/. one thing is all multipla owner is sleeping including me but you can alway get help from anyone of us.
very hard to say about the car condition if it second hand. like my car. after six years, not so much problem, i am expecting to replace wear and tear every now and then. to give you a clue, clutch replacing start at rm790. i just replace my break disk cost me rm600. shock absorber cost about rm2500. so small part going to cost you in between rm300 to rm 700 per workshop trip.
to save cost we normally get the part repaired rather replacing it.
there some owner want to let go their multipla, but cannot say what is the condition like. you have to judge your self.
sorry i am not selling my car
