Great feedback man, I thank you for your time.
Just ONE thing though.. How 'high' is the fuel consumption compared to your previous Kenari? What's the KM for $xx.xx ?
How's ur driving style, do you step on it alot, or do you drive slow?
Cheers mechanic!
p/s: I'm starting to think I'm worrying too much.

Hey Wis,
ok... let me be serious now...
generally, its your luck also, if you buy any car, some comes good and no problems, others got some problems.
But, for Peugeot, the QC has been quite good, although not perfect. We get small issues, if you're unlucky but none that cannot be rectified.
So far, speaking to most of the owners, all are satisfied with the engineering of the car and the quality is exceptional!
What I can say is, buy with confidence... you won't regret it... you will enjoy driving differently!
Its not what you have...... its how you use it!!

Here I go again about car & wife theory... (not meant to be sarcastic, just joking, but have some valid points here)
(Try to apply this theory to your car that you want to buy)
1) When you want to get married to your wife... you know she is not perfect... If you want a perfect wife... for a long time... you will still try to find one... and won't get married...
2) Your father in law won't give you guarantees when you want to get married to your wife... but you still get married... (but when you buy a car, you get 3 years or 100,000 km warranty)
3) We will take care of our wife, give her good treatment so that she will look pretty to our eyes, everyday.
4) If she falls sick, we will send her to a doctor or specialist to get the best attention.
5) If she breaks a leg, you will take the best action to get her cured.
6) Once a while, she will cough and have a cold, you won't complain but will send her to a doctor, and let the doctor treat her so that her cough and cold will go away.
7) Its good to talk to friends who are married, so that you know how to be a better husband...
In a nutshell, don't get married if you are not ready to be a husband...

Pug 308 = 1.6cc > Kenari = 1.0cc.
My car is still new so initially it will consume more fuel. One of the reason is i still have to learn how to control pressure applied to the pedal. Currently just press & enjoy the power & some time u'll hear the smooth sound of "Psssss". Have to turn off radio to hear it & i always turn off radio when driving my PUG308. I enjoy the engine sound more compare to the Crazy DJ.
One of our forumer blog about his fuel consumption... there you can get more accurate picture... Cheers! Again NO REGRET!

Here is my list of 'item' which led me to Pug.308.
1. My Price Maximum RM 150k.
2. Safety AlwaysNo. 1 erkk.. No. 2 now. 6 airbags! ABS, ESP etc...
3. Dont really care about 2nd hand value. If you really really 'Concern' about the 2nd hand value... Stick to Honda n Toyota.
4. 240Nm @ 1400 RPM ! ... Thats already a WOW! factor for those who hungry for RAW Power...
5. I want comfort - btw, i've been driving kenari for the past years... even MyVi gaves me Comfort by comparison.
6. .... too many small small things to list...
My Problems so far...
1. Pulling to the left problem... will rectify it next week.
2. No Cargo Net for my car... I'll buy one.
3. Too Flashy (Compare to my Kenari)... i personally dont like people staring
4. Too Complicated MFD )(Multifunction Display) ... I'll put sometime study the manual
5. Fear of the UnKnown ... since this is my first Conti car. But hey, we got an excellent forum & community support.
6. Still got problem handling the Car Power... From time to time will improved!
7. DRL... Still cant find out how to disable it... even after untick the menu the light still ON!
8. Fuel consumption is 'high' again its been compared to my previous kenari ... muahha ha
9. Some rattling sound inside the dashboard @ 100km++ speed. Dont know what it is... but i can live with it
if there is a problem... there is always a solution or mitigation to minimize damage!

bro, the MFD is easy to use i think. straight forward. and also the DRL, you can disable it at your MFD.

There's a discussion on this topic...should give you a clearer picture on the 308's FC being driven in city/highway...for my 90% city drive...FC seems to average between rm0.20-0.22/km

My Pug 308 THP is the first conti and first new car i own. Here are my concern when buying this THP
1. I need a good and safe car for long distance travel after married (my home town in PG, working in PJ and wife'e home town in Kuantan) imagine during CNY from PJ -> Kuantan (send some gift to mother-in-law b4 CNY - chinese custom) -> PG -> Kuantan (during CNY) -> PJ - 2000km +- (my 20 years old Toyota might not able to do that)
2. Budget around RM120k
3. At first i also thinking about the resell value, spare parts and maintenance cost. But after doing research, basically cars over RM100k can be said have not good resell value, u can check on thestar classify...how much a 3 years Civic, Altis, Camry, Accord cost. And when willing to spend >100k for a car, i doubt u wanna look for 3rd party spare parts as u can check most of the honda and toyota ORI spare parts are not cheap. Thus, be it a Peugeot, Honda and Toyota is not much dif.
4. The design of the car, Toyota is basically out of my choice...i personally just don like the design. So is between CIVIC 2.0 and Pug THP (civic 1.8 is out of the picture as the spec is simply no good).
5. The spec, interior design and most important the safety feature....for interior design, both 308 and CIVIC 2.0 have it own beauty, but come to the spec and safety, my choice is 308. No doubt CIVIC 2.0 is a bigger car but 308 is not that small instead, i can live with it in exchange of better spec and safety, save 13k+ as well.
After using it for almost 3 months 7500km...i can proudly say i have no regret. The only thing come to my mind is.... the car is too fast...and make me fear sometime. HAHAHA..old edi heart cannot stand the speed.
anyway Fuel consumption is acceptable during city drive, 0.20-0.22 per KM and able to do 700KM per full tank RM90 - 100% highway (cruise at 115km most of time)
