Economy Mode Active is very common, you can read it from the User Handbook. It's just a feature to help conserve and prevent from draining the battery (e.g. forget to off the lights).

As for flat, it won't flat by those small activity (opening/closing door); When economy mode active, many lights won't even work anymore until you start the car again.
Just don't let your battery discharge (drain) and not charge it properly.
If worry, using of "external" items like charger could also be a culprit, especially if those items/charger are faulty or?

From what I know, if you frequently drive short trips and frequent start-and-stop, you might face shorter battery life issue. The battery is not fully/properly charged for these short trips. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ya....betul.........battery is not fully charged for short trips.
That's why my toyota last so long....coz i travel jauh everyday...

Dear all current 308 owners,

Firstly to let you all know I did not create this thread to provoke any form of negativity in anyone.

I just wish to ask:

- So far I have been reading of 308 owners having different problems and issues with their 308. Like hearing sounds when driving, or vibration, etc...

So whether you own your 308 for half a year, or half a week, or half a month.. Have you ever regret purchasing your 308 due to these problems?

Please answer truthfully and honestly.. Try not to include self-consolation if possible.

Peace smile.gif

NOTE: If you have No regrets at all, please state what problems you have or had with your 308, and explain why you do not regret although you have the problems.

I owned 308THP for almost 3 months, I'm proud as it become a head turner in JB and also because as most of so called "good-second-hand-value-junk" T-H-P (toyo-hond-plotong) collect my dust as I cruises away especially at the traffic lights.
the only regret...actually my wife's regret is this french beauty moves too quick. She better of driving our x-trail instead.

behcw was correct with respect to a 'hole' between 3rd & 4th gear, virtually no acceleration at all even if u floor it at 4th gear if your rpm is at 2k. even at 2.5k rpm, the acceleration is not good either. so don't expect anything from 4th gear except cruising (& abit of fuel saving). don't get me wrong, this thp is good, more powerful that alot of cars but the AL4 is a letdown. to really utilise the 4th gear, u need to tekan more on 3rd gear so that it changes gear at above 3k rpm, then the 4th gear can show abit of turbo power.

so the conclusion is - this car is designed for spirited driving, too slow, it complains, floor it at auto mode also complains.
one forumer here puts it quite brilliantly - it is the only auto car where it requires you to understand how to drive a manual car.
so if u don't know how to handle this car, or have too high of an expectation, u'll be better off modifying a satria & (quite frankly) it'll beat this car hands down. now i know why alot of ppl like modifying cars, it's never enough, you always want more.

NO REGRET!

I've had my 308 HDi 90 about a year and a half, I am very pleased with it..........BUT. every now and then the audio system plays tracks stored on the hard drive in reverse order untill i turn the engine of and restart, then it plays in the right order again! the sat nav keeps freezing then crashing and the display sometimes pops up and down for no reason.

Sadly, we dont have hard drive nor the nav system in Malaysia, just a question, does your 308 feels underpowered because it has less than 100hp?

Bradder why you still talking AL4. Go get the current AT6 version la...hav not tried AL4 version but dun feel any black hole in AT6 model. Why bother mod a satria, you send the pug for a ecu remap or a booster box immediately get additional 30hp and 30nm - from what I read in other posts at least tongue.gif

I love my AL4 smile_big.gif , not as lethargic as the AL6!
