hi ongwc5,
I haven't mentioned anything about Kah Motor is distributor? That was stated by another fellow. I think u replied the wrong comment.

Sry bro make u misunderstand on my post, of course u are not the one to said that lah, u trace back the post on this topic earlier then u will know what going on, is just the joking only, pls accept my sincerely apologetic if got offence! rolleyes.gif

I think most of the ppl come to forum, main purpose are we sharing the knowledge & useful info, discuss the problem & get the solution etc.. I believe no ppl will purposedly given the wrong info for fun. If really someone does, i don't see anything wrong by other ppl to correct it!

At least i reply to him with gentle, unlike him try to insult to other person(shallow, deadly), look at the post by him for irresponsible some info or reply...sound funny he assumed i'm a salesman ?

No, Honda has not done aything about the lousy NVH in the Civic yet. After all, the 9th Generation is due in 2010.

QUOTE (sunyatsen @ Jul 20 2009, 08:31 AM)
What I mentioned is only hearsay from my friend who is a Honda salesman. What u mentioned is only a general assumption. In short, there is no fixed rule when a new model would be launched. Economic factors & technical feasibility are usually the main point of consideration prior to a new model launch.

For your info, I didn't get my Honda from Singapore but from the Chan Sow Lin branch, KL.

Bro, do u know how long has the Sentra (N16) model already in the market???? What is so surprise if the N16 has no ABS. Another thing, u can't blame Tan Chong as they are merely distributors and franchise holder. So, u should blame the principal, i.e. Nissan. Just like you can't shift the blame to Kah Motor if you are not happy with the Honda specs . There is certain amount of liability each entity has to be responsible in short. By the way, I am a bit surprise that our bro who presumed to have a good grasp of automotive knowledge bought the N16 and then find it frustrating.

I think u must be sleeping that Kah Motor is not a distributor. For your info, I just bought a car from them. Well, your reference in Wikipedia doesn't prove anything to show that Tan Chong as the distributor has purposely omit the so-called basic safety equipment such as ABS. I am not interested to argue with u on such petty matters because it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread (unless u wanted to start a new thread to discuss whose fault of omitting the ABS). Indeed, this just only a casual discussion and by kicking a fuss over here just shows how shallow you are

It is pretty common for people to blame the seller when they are not happy with their purchase (when the fact they have to shoulder part of the blame too for being negligent). The government has established the consumer tribunal and those who are still not happy for not getting the "ABS" in their ride, can actually file a complaint there. I heard they are efficient too. Here is the link (if one is too lazy to do the search):

Who knows TC might fit an ABS for you free of charge. By the way, there are lots of salesmen lurking around in the forum and I am not surprised when one see lots of criticisms levelling against one brand to the other. Lastly, just learn to take these comments with a pinch of salt.

Now, I am contemplating to lodge a complaint against Kah Motor for selling me a car which are full of "rattle snakes, crickets and bees". What should I do now?????

A big sorry if you felt like you have been insulted. smile_cool.gif You don't need to be apologetic. By the way, apologies accepted. smile_big.gif Am I being gentle now. smile_wink.gif Sounds unsincere right??? Never mind about that. There is nothing wrong by sharing information provided the information is CORRECT and UNBIASED. Sometimes, you can't blame me for being harsh as I might have misinterpreted the comments or have misread. A lot of comments sounds like salesman talk and hence the assumption. My thousand apologies for the mistake (if I am wrong). trink39.gif

Ok, back to topic. Heard that the Altis 2.0 might be launched in Malaysia at the end of the year. This is just a rumour (in case someone wanted to find fault). Next time, must provide an escape clause too. smile_big.gif

The Altis is positioned in between the Sylphy (comfort) & Civic (sportiness). Being neither here nor there, doesn't make the Altis 2.0 very appealing (unless some die hard fans may want to go for it merely for the brand). What will be the target market segment like? Most likely will be those yuppies seeking something different from the "H'. The 1.8 Altis performance is adequate in most circumstances (for its current target market). A little edge against the 1.8 could be just the extra 200cc and some other accessories. Seriously, I don't think it will even offer a handling aspect as good as the Civic by being a Toyota. I don't think there is any hurry to launch the Altis 2.0 right now.

Hi ongwc5,

It's ok, just that I thought u mistaken me as another person. Cheers. Anyway, I don't see both of you being rude to each other at all. Just debate is healthy. trink39.gif

Hi sunyatsen,

Toyota cars mostly are not love at first sight. The owners only love them when they starting to realise that its maintenance is low. For Altis 2.0V, it's not the look that is appealing but its dual VVT-i and powerful engine. It's handling is not fancy but still adhere to standard requirement, still all disc brake, 5-lugs wheels and having active safety gadgets. By overall it makes great car. They'll have to bring in the Altis 2.0V as production cost testbed before they could implement dual VVT-i on other later future models locally. Later Vios will have dual VVT-i in 1ZR-FE engine.

Honda relies more on performance, handling and try to win ur heart at 1st sight with its elegant looks. I guess that's why u bought Civic. The rattlesnake, u could fix it on ur own. Just send it to soundproof specialist and they'll solve the gap and plastic catch for u. Just have to spend extra and that'll kill the rattlesnake for good, take it to make soup.
